Have you ever wondered how Santa Klaus met Mrs. Klaus? Michelle Erickson brings readers a delightful story of a princess and a carpenter.
Eralee's father is a River King and her mother is a Queen. They live in the forest of Everaude, a world filled with immortals and the Rashim (deer). Her parents planned a marriage for her to a river prince. She had no desire to marry him. When she saw a human freezing to death in the woods, she wanted to save him, although it was forbidden by her people.
The reader watches as Klaus and Eralee fall in love. Throughout this enchanted story the reader learns the answers to many Santa questions. The reader also meets several incredible secondary characters such as Dasher, Dancer and Vixen. Erickson explains why reindeer can fly and why their antlers glow. Eralee refused to give up the man she loves, no matter the cost.
Erickson combines romance, adventure, suspense, and humor to create one of the best Christmas tales I've ever read. Eralee's antics were very funny and her innocence was extremely heartwarming. This book will become a family favorite. I can see this tale making it to TV as a Christmas special. I highly recommend Klaus for the whole family...

This was an interesting book, full of a new mythical world of fairies, elves, river lords, witches and more. It felt like a magical world that really could have created Santa from it's depths. Of course, there were times it got a little cheesy fitting in all the various components of the Santa stories, but in general it worked. Eralee and Klaus were both good characters as were the many, many side characters. The romance was quick and underlined the rest of the storyline which made it more of an eternal love story - something I hope Santa really has with his wife...:) The plot did seems to slow down in order to describe people, places or things in an abundance, then speed up with sudden plot twists. This made it a long read, but still a fun twist of Christmas stories.

Christmas Romance
I love Christmas and this story just brings to why one should always live with love in their heart.
The characters are breathtaking and have your emotions going up and down. Love is eternal and can accomplish more than we know. True love has power and can evoke miracles.
Klaus and Eralee went through so much but their love was rewarded tenfold and shined though to their parents, grandparents and friends. Make you want to wish you could live with them in their secret hideaway.
Definitely recommend this book and not just for Christmas but as a feel good read. All the characters are likable and interesting.

An excellent story for this season. Of course, it's not the true story of the Christmas season, but it was so positive and life-affirming that I loved every minute of it. The explanations for our Christmas traditions (flying reindeer, flying sled, Santa's name, the elves, Santa and Mrs. Klaus dressed in red and white, etc) it is all explained here in a wonderfully well-told story. I loved the characters and would really enjoy another trip to check on Klaus, Eralee, and all of the other immortals. Fantasy and romance are usually not my genres, but this book drew me in. I definitely recommend it.

This was a charming story where the author explores how Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus (Klaus) came to be. She manages to incorporate almost every other denizen of the far north into this tale. How Klaus is referred to as Santa by the mountain elves is a bit of a stretch. There are also large flying Rashim with glowing hooves and antlers. This conflicts with Clement Clarke Moore's version saying Santa's sleigh was drawn by eight "tiny" reindeer. I believe pre-teens are the target audience and should enjoy this quite a bit.

Fantastic Christmas story
I think the author should write a child's version of this story as I found it to be a magical Christmas story that I think children would enjoy. It is a real page turner and from someone who loves Christmas and still believes in Father Christmas this is now my favorite book ever.

Love Story of all Time
This story contains all the characters we know and love and brings them to life. The reader will once again fall in love with Santa, Dasher and Dancer, the elves, and all the immortals. Santa's love for Eralee (Santa's wife) proves how true love should be and Santa's dedication to be with her.

Beautiful Story
Pure joy to read this story. Fantasy is not necessarily my first choice, but the writing drew me in a held me captive. Michelle wove all the many myths about Santa together a made a wonderful story. I’d love to see a movie made of it.

Excellent
I love Christmas themed books. This one is an interesting take on the origin of Santa Claus or in this case Santa Krause.
In my humble opinion it is a keeper and will be going in my “Favorites “ folder.

Wonderful story
Very enjoyable but mature ideas not for younger children. Romantic idealistic fairy tale. Made me happy, dad and happy again. Well worth the time.

I don't normally read romance and only limited amount of fantasy. This story was nicely done bringing in Christmas, dryads, river kings and other nature and winter myths built around the story of two people who fall in love and have to overcome obstacles of the mortal and fantasy worlds.

If your kids still believe, this book will too.
When I first started reading this book, I didn't think I would like it. I was right. I didn't like it. I LOVED it! It has everything in it. If you have kids, buy this book and read it to them around the holidays and they will tell their friends a about Klaus too.

Klaus(Santa Claus Immortal Romance Ad...
Klaus was a wonderful read air gave it Five Stars and I'm also hoping that Michelle will write a sequel to this book because I would like to know the final outcome of Klaus Eralee they sounded like a match made in Heaven.

Great read
This is one of the best stories I have ever read. It has drama and comedy. Lots of surprises and emotion. It is very imaginative and is destined to be a great classic Christmas story.

A DNF for me. It was decently written, but while I enjoy some insta-love romances (mainly destined mates or reincarnated lovers, etc), this one instantly turned me off at that point. It came on suddenly and out of nowhere, very ackward. It maybe explained later in the book to make me accept it better, but I wasn't really engaged in the story by then anyway.
