So, this book had a little over everything garou, Fianna, Black Spiral Dancers, a bad-ass mage, sabbat, Samedi, Giovanni, wraiths, Skinwalker, gross Wyrm creature, a very bloody fight, and giant magical storm. I had a lot of fun with all this stuff existing together, as that feels like the type of games I run. That said, I had a hard time following all the names, and there are plenty of references a reader will only understanding with deep lore knowledge (the novel is based on the short story "For Auld Lang Syne" and I am pretty sure is referencing other author's characters as well). That combined with how rushed the ending is (feels like there are about 20 pages worth of story missing and connection missing, which might be fixed by reading the other source material?) made for blasé, but body count, ending.
