Playboy Alex Harper has been after party planner Amanda Crawford, since the moment he met her. Amanda has continually rebuffed his attention, but Alex has finally figured a way to get her to agree to a date.
Amanda had goals she wanted to achieve before she hits thirty in two years and none of them include falling into bed with Alex. She can't deny the chemistry, but he could become a distraction and he doesn't stick around long either. When he offers her an opportunity to make more contacts for her business, she feels like a fish who has been hooked, because she is quickly falling for the man she promised herself she never would.
Here is the thing, good story had a fun plot line. The title has me utterly confused, this is not a major plot point at all and really does not even become a hint of a possibility until the end. The other thing in the first book I read of this series there was a mystery, the mystery continues and again no answers. Frustrating because although the story is well written there are some head scratching moments.
First thing the title is inappropriate the heroin never is pregnant throughout the story only they are suspicious cause they forgot condom but she never concieved
Though the story was good, characters were well developed and hero had a child with other girl when he was 18,the girl is gold digger and a B**** but she takes money and gives the child to heroes parents they adopt him and they tell everyone around, it is their child and,he has some guilt abt it and hero and his son never get along
Heroin she has issues with her parents who always faults her in whatever she does but she stands on her feet, there's another issues her ex-boyfriend has taken money from her account without her knowledge
I enjoyed this book but it's not exactly my favorite.
I thought pregnancy or secret baby would be the main issue in this book, but actually it's not. There's no drama what-so-ever in this story, in fact the drama is pretty much tame compare to other Harlequin romance. But overall, a good one. Look forward to read more!
It was quite ok. I found it sad that every time Alex accused Amanda of something and later he apologised for it, she always readily forgave him. Every accusation was easily forgiven. That did not sit well with me. Other than that it was not bad.
Alex is in hot pursuit of Amanda. Amanda, struggling with financial debt and an insecure upbringing, resists until one night of explosive passion takes over.
Alex, with secrets of his own, is unable to let Amanda escape.
