AbdulHaq al-Ashanti (Paul Addae) is a graduate of the School of Oriental and African Studies having studied Arabic, a BA in History; an MA in the History of Islam in Africa; and studies regularly with Muslim scholars at the Imam al-Albani Centre in Amman, Jordan.

He also lived and worked as an author in Riyadh for an Islamic Studies Curriculum project. He has translated a number of works from Arabic to English and is a regular contributor to the website salafimanhaj.com
