One may feel many regrets or worries about life's daily affairs. The life of this temporary world is full of stress and anxiety for what has happened in the past, what will happen in the future, or for what is going on at present. Things of the past cause grief, thoughts of the future cause worry, and one gets anxious about things of concern at present.
Analyzing the causes of such feelings determines the remedy for them. Consulting the guidance of the Holy Qur’an and thinking positively are the essential means of solving such problems. For example, if one commits a sin, the remedy is to repent and do all that entails. If one loves the worldly desires too much, the cure is in reminding oneself of the realities of this life and the hereafter, and so on.
The author of this book points out in detail different types of worries and anxiety, quoting examples from the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah, and offers practical remedies and solutions for them.

This book is so well written sequentially it really makes one wonder how did the writer get it so right! Its islamqa's founder Mohammed Salih Al Munajjid! He explains wonderfully how to heal the hurt, live in the moment, and find gratitude to ground our everyday. What I really loved is the tips he included in the last portion of this small book. THEY ARE PRACTICAL! They are never practical ever in the other books. But really it made me think about my life, my routine, our potential and the hurt we nurse. Its a very calm and wise piece. No schisms or kitschy mumbo-jumbo/new catchphrases/magic words included.
ITS VERY PRACTICAL. and that's the best thing about it.
Antara intipati utama buku ini adalah pengurusan stress dari perspektif islam.Ia merangkumi semua aspek mengapa kita sebagai manusia menghadapi masalah dan bagaimana kita menguruskan masalah dengan baik.
This book is talking and cure to whoever in distressed and how Islam help us to deal and heal from our worries and stress. Please I beg everyone get this book!
Just simple book about stress and worries. Good example and method to handle the stress. Good example related with our Prophet method and advice related with topic. Simpel and straight to the point.
A good book for the religious aspect of treatment of mental scarcity. After 2 years abandoning it because I got triggered, I gave this book another chance.
This book is written by a religious person hence it is not fair to judge based on our current dynamic state. It has black and white features like fiqh which stated the road of the faith (gratefulness, joy) vs the road of Satan (distress, grief, sadness). Technically it's not suitable to label feelings based on positive or negative. Feelings also come in various spectrums and deserve to exist regardless. We need to learn to feel all the feelings and do the right things (not impulsively by the way we feel).
By right this book deserves acknowledgement, which was written about how Prophet and sahabah undergo distress, anxiety. Provided the points about dealing with uneasy feelings had been explored clearly. It's practical to practice the tips and duas in this book.
However in medicine, mind also has its pathologies hence we must treat it accordingly by meeting the doctors. The question here: does the sahabah feel intense distress to the point of reaching pathology that hinders them to function as a human the way that people with major depressive disorder can't even wake up from bed?
To treat mental disorders, they require a holistic approach and this book might help in the religious or spiritual aspect of wellness.
I actually love this book 🤍 I found answers I have been looking for. An eye-opening for me. Look simple but means a lot to me tho. It is an easy reading, the points are easy to understand. There are many stories of our Prophet, Caliph and his other friends. A lot of du'as to which can help us to relieve from stress and anxiety, insyaAllahh.
Short, simple, easy to understand and straight to the point. Love the stories of of Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH and the sahabah in dealing with stress and worries. Also love the Quranic verses and all the hadith shared regarding this issue
This book will teach you the Islamic ways of dealing with stress and anxiety. Nice book. I have finished Sheikh Munajjid's 6 books with this one. Alhamdulillah.
