I LOVE THIS BOOK! This book is great if you love animals, or fun facts about animals! There isn't a very clear theme, but if anything it would be kindness, because of how much people care about those animals.
I thought this book was a very interesting book full of lots of fascinating facts about animals and where they live. This would be a perfect book to use in the classroom for a geography study or animal study. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and thought it was very informative and interesting.
My 5 year old is obsessed with learning about animals and we've purchased other National Geographic books on the topic. This one was just as informative and beautiful as the other ones. I also liked that this book went beyond just the animals and uses the atlas to teach about map reading and the continents.

This book has both an informative table of contents and a helpful index, each very detailed and easy for children to follow as they search for specifics. This resource would be best helpful to children wanted to learn as much about animals as possible as they search for this knowledge on their own, without the help of many adults to do so. This source would be an excellent one for writing a report or doing a presentation and children would easily be able to work with the information given throughout the text.
