I read the title out loud and my wife said "Like the transfusion syndrome?" (Twin-to-twin Tansfusion Syndrome is a condition with identical twins where, in the womb, one twin takes more resources than the other. It can be very bad.) So I almost stopped reading right then.

The perfect book for your twins or even an older sibling, waiting for twins in the family. Sweet rhyme and adorable illustration. I bought it for a friend recently and she said after all the non-fiction books on twins she had read over the last 9 months, this was a total joy to read and her 3 year old daughter loved it.

My mediocre review may be due to looking at this through an adult's eyes rather than a child's. I believe children would enjoy the cutesy pictures and the rhyming text.

What draws children the most is a rhyme scheme and a repetitive word. My five year old loved the rhythm of words that she helped me read whenever we saw the word "double". The book helped her learn a new word as well as get a feel for rhythm in the written word.
