This was a good starter book to read with my 9 year old who had questions about the war.

This was an informative peek into the events leading up to the Vietnam War, some of the unique struggles soldiers encountered with the Vietcong, views of the war, and it’s devastating conclusion. A good read for intermediate and high school age students, for additional material with their classroom textbook.
