what a very sweet and wonderful book that is a collection of quotes, thoughts and writings of Mr. Rogers.

It was the perfect book to end the year that is 2020

This is a very quick read. It is primarily set up as shorter segments of Mr. Rogers' most thoughtful words. It was evidently compiled by his closest peers that knew him best and thus knew what he had to offer as most impactful. I want to respect their preservation efforts of Mr. Rogers' words; however, there is quite a bit of redundancy.

Ironically I finished this book on, what I am now learning, is deemed Mr. Rogers day. Our daughter was asked to where a cardigan to school in spirit of Mr. Rogers and spreading kindness with others. Now that is cool stuff I am on board with!

This book was a gift from my sister who reminded me of how much I loved watching Mr. Rogers as a preschooler. The introduction was written by his wife of 50 years and was touching. The quotes and songs in the book are expressive of Fred Rogers' philosophy and are a reminder that there were people in the world who are motivated by kindness and love of humanity - a reminder I need in the current situation in the United States. This book (as well as his non-profit, Family Communications, Inc.) is a reminder of Fred Rogers' legacy of love and wisdom.

Fred Rogers has been a staple of childhood for millions of children over the years, and mine is no different. I enjoyed watching him in the Neighborhood, and it saddened me when he passed away. But the wisdom of Mr. Rogers, learned over a life of service to God and children, can still be seen in his show and read in collections like this.

This collection of wisdom from across the decades of Fred Rogers’ life makes a great afternoon of reading or even a book to dip into every once in a while when you need it. I would recommend this book to those who need a pick me up. With lessons on working, love, and so much more, this book will inspire you to see what the world could be if we had a few more Fred Rogers in our lives.

Various sayings from Mister Rogers. Good coffee table book. Knowing his faith and theological background helped a lot for me personally to get through it because without knowing that, many of these quotes can be taken out of context or are vague enough to mean anything. However, I very much enjoyed this book, it brought back many good memories when I watch Mister Rogers Neighborhood.
