London Prep #7

The Choice

Rate this book
We’re still on school break, and a lot is happening in the upcoming week before we have to head back to classes.
My parents are arriving from New York, and we’re moving into our new penthouse apartment.
Noah wants to meet my parents—as my boyfriend—and spend the break together as a couple.
Harry is going to meetings in Shanghai about an internship at his family’s company.
And Mohammad has his first official date with Naomi.
Things couldn’t be better, and there’s so much to look forward to.

But things can’t stay perfect forever.
And on our last night in the country house, Harry asks me to go to Shanghai with him.
Even though he tells me we would be going as friends, I know that someone is going to get hurt.
If I say yes, I don’t think Noah will ever forgive me.
And if I say no, I’m afraid I will break Harry’s heart.
But either way, I have to decide.
I have to make a choice.
Will it be Noah or Harry?

This is the book I've been waiting for! The Choice speaks for itself, and let me just say... I couldn't be happier with the choice Mallory made! Jillian Dodd has a real addictive quality to her writing and this was a page turner!

The gang is still on break from school throughout the entirety of this book. Finishing this break, Mallory's parents finally being in London and lots of big things on the horizon for Mallory's love life. I loved all the Noah we got in this book, and Mohammad who is a favorite was so much fun.

The ending of this one had me dropping my jaw. And literally face palming and laughing from second hand embarrassment and honestly gave me so many feels. I loved this book and I have been obsessed with this series from the beginning! I can't wait to see how the next book plays out!

This picks up with that question hanging in the air between Mallory and Harry. ‘Will you come to Shanghai?’ Well this is a conundrum… The opportunity to go and travel somewhere she has never been and the added lure of a potential pathway into the real estate career that Mallory has dreamed of. I think that Harry knows how loaded his question is.

And what of Noah? He has made it clear to Harry that he has feelings for Mal so why would he pose a question that could potentially hurt all of them. Actually no matter what the answer is, someone will be left with hurt feelings.

Mallory’s parents are winging their way to London and she is excited about seeing them again. There is so much to look forward to when they return when they move into their apartments. She can’t wait to introduce them to her friends and just knows her mum will love Mohammed - they share a passion for fashion.

After a mini meltdown Mallory does make a choice and she knows it is the right one for her. I don’t want to spoil it but I can say that I think she made the right choice. Having said that, who knows what Jillian has in store for the next story, after what happens in the last few pages, I’m guessing there will be a lot of angst, tears and some intense discussions!

My heart has been in my throat since the first words I read in this book. So much happens! And yet you are left with your jaw on the ground!

Now if you love this series as much as I do, you have a strong opinion on if you are team Noah or team Harry. Decisions will be made. You will be put through it all in this book. Just when I think Jillian can’t shock you anymore, bam, the end of this book happens. I’m on the edge of my seat.

I don’t want to give anything away, but want to talk about how much I loved loved loved this book. The cover is absolutely stunning. The relationships that Mallory has with each character in the book is fantastic. Each relationship is unique and captivating.

This book pulled me in, just like ever Jillian Dodd book does. I did not want to put it down. I am so in love with this series. Each book takes you on a beautiful journey. I am so excited to see where the story goes. And I am always excited to get more Mallory, Noah, Harry and Mohammed. They are four best friends, that you fall hard for. I loved this story so much! So swoony and heartfelt with a side of intrigue, humor and where the heck will this go! An absolute must read & devour!

“I know this feels like the end of something for you, Mal, but it isn’t. It’s just the start. Of something new.”

The Choice picks up right where The Country House ends…
Mallory finally makes her choice!!!

I absolutely loved the chemistry between Mallory and Noah.. Noah is so perfect. He’s thoughtful, caring, and so understanding.

“Whatever you want from me, you’re going to get, Mal. My heart. My body. My future. It’s already yours.”

Swoons

I am and forever will be Team Noah… but boy what were you thinking? That ending had my heart rate soaringgggg !!

Mohammad = Best Side character ever.
I love him so much!!

As per usual Jillian Delivered! I can’t wait for the next book!

The best part is Mallory FINALLY chose!!!!…. and chose right I might add!

I won’t lie, the first part of the book was a little aggravating because even though she chose the someone everyone wants, she was still so focused on the person she didn’t choose & even asked for time! It wasn’t until toward the end that Mallory finally gave the person she chose her full focus, time, & heart. I honestly felt her first date & future plans was a little rushed. She went from having panic attacks to literally 3 days later planning her forever future. She’s so wishy washy. Makes me wonder if she’ll still feel this way come Sunday when she sees someone come home & how that will be. I think he will try to win her back.
Especially now after that cliffhanger! *pssst: totally knew that was gonna happen btw. They are so pro Harry. Dear Noah never stood a chance.*
I do hope that things progress a little faster and more happens in the next book. We’re on book 7 and only a month or two into their lives. So for Jillian, it is a little slow. Where by book 7, the Keatyn series was already completed. & so much happened. This one wasn’t as drama filled & I didn’t get the connection that Noah & Mal had that was absolute fire before. That being said, it was very well written, kept my attention, + I did really enjoy it. It was just lacking a little from the momentum of the rest of the series for me. I still very much love this series & would definitely recommend. I am so ready to see what happens in The Club! November ‘23!

This cover though was my absolute favorite! So beautiful!

This book was such a fun and delightful book to read. There was lots of fun scenes with Mallory and her friends on there school break. Also, you got to meet Mallory’s parents and get an insight into their relationship as well as see her parents meet her friends.Mallory makes a decision between the two boys trying to win her affection rather early in this book but that does not mean their is no drama involved. The relationship that Mallory picks seems to make her older and more mature than in past books. She is definitely growing up and becoming her own person. I can’t wait to see where the next book in this story goes and how all the different relationships in Mallory’s life progress.

I am SO incredible late for this review but the past few weeks have been INSANE.
Thank you so much @jilliandodd for allowing me to read this book!
The Choice is the newest installment in the London Prep series. It starts out with Mallory having a HUGE choice to make! You’ll have to read the book to see if you think she makes the right one!
I absolutely loved all of the different insight into the characters in this one. Noah as always was INCREDIBLE.
In true Jillian fashion, she leaves us on a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see where she takes us in the next book!

I received this as an ARC.

I want to start by saying that if Mallory hadn't chosen who I wanted her to, I was done with this series. lol

I was on pins and needles reading the beginning of this book. I have been on team Noah since the first book. I do not like Harry at all. I feel that he uses Mallory for his own personal needs and doesn't actually care about her as witnessed while they were dating. I was over the moon when she made her choice about Shanghai.

I think Mallory gets on my nerves because I was also a people pleaser when I was a teenager and it's frustrating to watch her not make a decision on her own. I just want her to stand up to Harry and say no, you can't talk to me like that or do those things because we are not a couple any longer.

This book will take you on one heck of a roller coaster ride. I loved that her parents finally arrived but I was annoyed with them as well. They seem to be team Harry without ever meeting him. I feel this way because he comes from money and has certain resources that I think they want to utilize.

The ending. Are you serious right now Jillian!? I need the next book stat. I know my jaw was on the floor by what happened at the luncheon. Who talks like that in their junior year of high school?

“Let yourself fall.”
“So, you?”
“So, I’ll catch you.”

Wow … I’m still swooning over the latest gem in the brilliant London Prep series that continues to steal my heart. Dodd knocks it out of the park with The Choice, another adorably charming and cleverly written saga of first love and all its butterfly feels. I couldn’t help but root for the heroine to finally choose her first love, her true love, the kind that’s as unforgettable and as beautiful as this breathtaking book and series.

The beautiful coming-of-age saga continues in The Choice where readers finally get the answer we’ve been craving since book one. Mallory has taken us on a front side roller coaster into her world and oh what a magical ride it’s been! The “Will she do it?” end to the last book was the sweetest torture but Mallory finally chooses who and what is right for her. Team Noah and Team Harry … she really can’t go wrong but if you’re like me, you definitely have a favorite hero in mind. Oh how I adore the whole London Prep crew: Mallory, Harry, and Noah and his family hold a special place in my heart.

The Choice is simply magical … a swooningly romantic read that is unputdownable. In compelling prose that reads like an intimate diary, Dodd slays this friends to lovers, new adult romance with its 90s vibes that wholeheartedly captives from beginning to end. This author is a master storyteller, a magician, frankly, who made me fall in love with two heroes but one I loved more. London Prep is a world I want to live in with characters that continue to capture my heart. I can’t wait to continue my journey in the next novel.

💋💋💋💋💋💋 swooningly romantic kisses

Jillian does it again!!

This book was everything it needed to be at this point in the series. There are ample funny moments. There is plenty of conflict and suspense in the plot to keep you hooked. Mallory and her love interest (trying not to spoil it) are straight up adorable too. There is so much character growth all the way around in this book.

I also enjoyed the integration of Mallory’s parents much more than I thought I would. Can’t wait to see what else develops there as the story goes on.

I never quite knew what twists and turns were coming for the LP gang this time around. I feel like there are a billion different adventures that the next book could take them on and I am here for it. I am excited to read what comes next.

Y’all these are always a ride. The beginning- a ride. The end- a ride. The middle- you think you’re safe.

Anyway, loved it. I feel like it’s a teeeeeny bit stressful to be in Mallory’s head because I feel like we’re really similar. But I’m loving how this series is going. I’m still 100% #teamnoah but at the end I was like “what is my boy THINKING” right now. He stressed me out (not hard to do honestly). But I am still loving their relationship.

I’m also obsessed with Mohammad. Just in general but I am so into his relationship with Naomi.

Also, please tell me they go to this party and we have like a whole book dedicated to it.

LONDON PREP: THE CHOICE is absolute perfection. This book follows the decision Mallory has to make after Harry asks her to go to Shanghai. So does she choose to go with Harry? Or does she stay in London with Noah after they finally had their moment? You will have to read to find out, but this I will tell you--this book is sexy, swoony, and holy moly so, so, so hot!

This is probably my favorite book so far of the series. It was completely unexpected in the best of ways. Hang on tight because Jillian Dodd will take you on a ride in this book.

After the previous book in this series, The Country House, ended on a cliffhanger (in true Jillian style), I have been waiting for this release to see what happens. I don’t want to spoil much, so all I’ll say is that if you’re #TeamNoah, I think you’ll really enjoy this book! Noah and Mallory share some really adorable moments in this book that had me smiling while reading. I feel I can’t end this review without mentioning the hilarious Mohommad. I love seeing Mohommad and Mallory’s friendship, the 2 of them had a lot of fun in this one. I just feel like Mohommad would be an absolute joy to hang out with. As usual, this one ended on a cliffhanger as well that leave you wanting more.

Wow. I loved this one. So far my favorite of the whole series!

This book is filled with a lot of change for Mallory. She is juggling how to keep her friendship with Harry while also respecting her relationship with Noah. She’s juggling her overbearing mother and busy-bee dad as they move to London with her. And, now she is navigating her feelings with Noah and their future along with everyone else’s opinions.

That’s a ton for one girl to handle.

Good thing she’s got great friends and a supportive boyfriend at her side. But will all the pieces of this puzzle align? Or will something slip through the cracks?

The ending of this book had me sitting up in bed in shock. Like how?!! How could things get here?! I was shook!

Give the next installment of Mal’s story a read!

I can’t wait for the next!

I adored this portion of the story where we get to see Mallory and her man really get to spend some quality time together. And I am so proud of Mallory for really sticking to her beliefs and goals and not letting other people's thoughts or feelings derail her from them. She is really growing up and you can see it progress in each book. So many changes in this part of the story for her with her parents coming home. We've never really seen them together and what a dynamic.

Ohhhhhhh Noah. He is too good hearted that it gets him in trouble sometimes. For someone who is so grounded and practical, he can really get starry eyed and romantic.

So much goes down towards the end that I am really on pins and needles to see what happens next.

It’s so great to see Mallory really stepping into her own and a life in London! She’s making genuine friendships with Olivia and Naomi and she’s starting to listen to what she really wants. It’s crazy how it’s only October now but she has grown so much and I love seeing this Mallory. I love her friendshup with Mohammed and it’s so fun to see her mom embrace him and their shopping day.

Noah is truly swoonworthy now, we get to see their relationship deepen and Mallory decides he’s the one for her. Harry is growing up big time too and I’m excited to see what they all do next!

I am in shock! What in the world? Good and angsty with lots of feels that will have you swooning. Noah has really stepped up his game and has those devoted moves down. Harry has really grown a ton from book one. Pretty impressive. And Mallory…she finally seems like she’s made a decision and sticking to it. But then there’s that ending! I’m caught up in my lovey dovey feelings and the rug was pulled out from under me! I think I need some trauma therapy.

WHAT?!? I had a feeling that the meet and greet wasn’t going to be sunshine and rainbows. STILL
Mal has finally made up her mind and feeling good. She is thrilled and then not so much about the parents finally moving to London. This relationship with Noah is intense and beautiful. Now let’s see how we all recover from brunch.

So have been in a reading funk lately and was hard to get back into it, too really focus on finishing this book. When I was finally able to get into it which was half way for me, didn’t want to stop until the end.
So we leave off with Harry and Mallory at a party and him asking her a major question. Her parents are now coming to London. And now she has to decide what and who she chooses to be with and what future she sees for herself. Everything is flashing by so fast and when she finally feels like her future and happiness are in her hands, the world has a different opinion.

These sentences had me swooning and falling in love. “I can’t believe I get to call you mine”,
“I’ve always been yours…, even when I shouldn’t have been”. As always I love Jillian Dodd and can’t wait for more.

It is hard to review this without giving away any spoilers. As you know from the end of the last book, Mallory was left with a choice between spending her break with Noah, who she just began dating, or going to Shanghai with Harry, her ex boyfriend. Most people have a very strong opinion about who they want Mallory to choose. The choice isn’t easy for her, but she isn’t left with much time to mull over her decision and weigh the pros and cons. I think this makes it a more natural choice and one she really wanted.

Of course we get more of Mohammed, who I absolutely love as a character. The more the book goes on, the more I can’t decide whether he is the gay best friend without being gay, or is he the Pacey (Dawson’s Creek) of the group. Either way I love him and look forward to his relationship with Naomi being explored more.

Olivia is definitely making a comeback and becoming a likable character and I am here for it! On the other hand, I wish Mal’s parents stayed in America because I really don’t like them. I do have a feeling they aren’t going to stay together (not a spoiler just my guess) but Mal’s mom was really irritating.

Well, Mallory finally made her choice...for her future, for her man, for herself. It took her a long time to get there, but she finally seems content in her choices. If you are a fan of this series, you either loved her choice or were a little heart broken. But, in true Jillian Dodd fashion, there seems to be conflict on the horizon. I for one can't wait to see what the future holds for Mallory and the boys club.

Jillian Dodd is the queen of cliffhangers. I am team Noah. I feel this book is a win, but the ending makes you worry. Mallory and Noah finally in a relationship, finally say I love yous. Noah knows she holds his heart and has every part of him. Please tell me Mallory doesn't let him fall in the next book. They have given themselves to one another, and I want to see them get the "happily ever after " together. The plans they made and Mallory said it's just talk... please tell me Noah understood what she was saying and she hasn't changed her mind or decision. Noah would be heartbroken.
