Look out for Sarah's next novel coming in May - Brave New Summer (UK title)/ Five Star Summer (US/Canadian title)
Courtship story that was first published in the Medical Line. It is also the middle story of the triplet series that began with The Spanish Consultant. I liked the first story better, since it had more conflict and fewer medical details.
The heroine is a pediatric nurse. In book one of the series, she is the sassy, rebellious triplet. In this story she is devastated that she was inadvertently dating a married man. She has vowed to never trust again. *eyebrow raise* And she has lost all sense of humor and perspective. Reader, she annoyed me.
Enter hunky Greek doctor hero who is too good to be true. Their meet cute is that he "buys" her at a charity auction for the hospital. Heroine is attracted but resists him for the entire story. There is a subplot about the H's 12 year-old niece that really doesn't go anywhere. And there are lots of sick children for the H/h to care for as they gaze into each other's eyes. (And the heroine looks quickly away)
The black moment with a letter the heroine just happens to read is so flimsy that it is an insult to black moments. Perhaps if this was your first romance novel you might think their HEA is in danger, but come on. *sigh*
The writing is fine. The medical details are compelling if you like that sort of thing. I'm not a fan of courtship stories usually. I like more conflict in my romances.
Heroine is virgin. Hero had eyes for no one but the heroine.
At last I finished it. Dont know why but it took me almost 6 months to complete this😳! I lost interest in Middle. It was good romance with likable leads. It’s just that I couldn’t connect with the protagonist or plot. Recommended.
The Westerlings series, book 2, the story of Libby and Andreas. 3.5 Burnt by bad experiences, thinking that Mr Right is just another myth like Father Christmas and Easter Bunny, Libby has sworn off men. Forced to participate in a fundraising auction at the hospital, she asks her brother Alex to buy her. But Andreas the new pediatric consultant is the highest bidder and he ends up winning a date with Libby. The attraction is instantaneous and scorching hot, just like "fireworks". For Libby, Andreas is trouble with capital T. Every time she sees him, she has an attack of out-of-control hormones. Libby is a great heroine, lively, full of warmth, feisty even prickly, but she is too cynical for her own good. Andreas is gorgeous and oh so determined to undermine Libby's resistance. Will he be able to break through the wall of self-protection that she'd built around herself ?
E a me la pediatria fa schifo, voglio diventare geriatra, figuriamoci…
Just 280 plus pages of angsty goodness, awesome dialogue, great characters, swoon-worthy hero, stubborn, feisty heroine, and perfect writing from Sarah Morgan! I loved the story from beginning to end. The plot is really simple, and you might say, predictable but it was well written.
I liked both Libby and Andreas. I actually adored Libby since reading book 1 (The Spanish Consultant). She's such a kick-ass sister! But what made me liked this book so much was Andreas. I loved seeing him pursue Libby, which is something he doesn’t do. I mean, what’s not to love about a sexy doctor who pursues his woman with a steely determination?
The chemistry between these two was off the scales. And their first kiss? Wowza! I appreciate the slow build that the author gave to their attraction; I’m glad that they didn’t jump into bed together right away. And well worth the price in the end!
All in all, The Greek Children's Doctor was such a delightful read. I can't wait to read the next book, which is Alex's story!
So the premise of this book was a good one. H meets h at a hospital dating auction and spends an obscene amount of money to buy a date with her.
The h is not interested. She just got out of a relationship with a man she didn't know was married until she walked in on he and his wife in bed. A new twist!
The problem I had was that the book was easy to sacchariney sweet. There was no real challenge between the characters. The h was afraid of commitment and the H wanted to embrace that commitment. I wish there was more oomph in the story to give it an element of excitement. Smh
I think this should probably have been a medical title except I don't know if that line existed when this was published.
This was fine! It's a mostly uncomplicated book about a woman who doesn't trust men even though she really wants her own family. I was more interested in reading about the brother, so I guess I will probably try to track that one down at some point.
Ok book but as is the usual case with Sarah Morgan’s medical books, half of it focuses too much on the medical aspect. So the relationship between the main characters loses out on details. This one felt rushed and there was no real development between the Hero and heroine.
This the third book of the Westerly triplets story. Libby is a nurse who has a brother and sister who are doctors. In this story she is having trouble with finding love. The man she thought of as the one was in reality a married man. So when the truth comes out she has been given a chance with the new doctor. Andreas is intrigued enough with her that he won't let her go out with any one but him. Is he her happy ending? Or another deadbeat?
Actually, I've enjoyed this story. Tetapi, masih kalah sama Westerling #1. Lucu aja kisahnya Libby sama Andreas, tetapi tidak memberikan banyak kesan. Jadi, kukategorikan cerita ini ok, just it.
Untuk Westerling terakhir, mau take a break dulu. Kasih jeda, soalnya kebanyakan baca romens juga nggak bagus. Wkwkw~
Another that I wouldn't have read if it wasn't in this omnibus of Sarah Morgan stories that doesn't look like a category romance book! But this is fun and romantic - and has another tall, dark, handsome millionaire doctor hero. What's not to like?!
Decided to read this one because im kinda need information about pediatrician, but turned out this book was quite amusing for me, besides all the information i've got.
Wasn't convinced I would enjoy this book when I started it but I pushed through and was pleasantly surprised :) A lot of credit for that has to be given to Morgan's writing. Presents are not a line of books that I've EVER had an interest in but I might make the exception for Sarah Morgan alone. She has a way of taking all those tropes and cliches that run rampant in Presents and spinning them so that are palatable.
I liked how much Libby and Andreas both stuck to their guns. Libby wasn't steamrolled by him but Andreas didn't give up on her or act like his way was the end all/be all. She had to make the choice to be with him and he saw that their relationship would never work unless she could do that.
Yet again my first thought on finishing a Sarah Morgan title was, "I would LOVE to see what she can do in a longer format!" She really elevates what could have been a cliched, boring mess into a lovely story about two people finding each other.
HHAHAHA aku salah urutan baca. Dari #3 ke #2 dan nanti #1.
Mereka berkaitan tapi nggak masalah kalo terpisah.
HAHAHA...
Dan typonya invisible HAHAHA. Apa mungkin efek terjemahan ya?
Read in omnibus Summer with Love This is Libby's story one of a set of triplets disillusioned by bad relationships of the past, I loved this story couldn't put it down but then the children's hospital background always makes for a soft caring hero doctor who is irresistible this had added twists and turns, typical mills and boon in some respects but with such loveable main characters you couldn't help but want the typical happy ever after
A very hot sweet read. Such a wonderful charming sexy doctor that I would love just to take him home. A well written read full of seduction, misadventures, and romance. Loved the dramatic mini stories from the hospital and the people. Wonderful book!
