Comfort for Troubled Christians

This book, with over two million copies sold  as a booklet, is now available in a more attractive, easier-to-read format. In the midst of a trial, it is often difficult to see any purpose to our suffering. Comfort for Troubled Christians will help you understand that God never leaves us nor forsakes us, especially in the dark times. The comforting scriptural encouragement in this book explains God's part and purpose in testing and offers a pattern for success to all Christians who are "passing through fire."

Wow, pretty hard-core. Favorite chapter on "Waiting" essentially sit back, relax, have faith don't rush, God'll fix it etc. How this has become the dominant meme in the US baffles me - I would never have guessed that hoping for Armageddon would be politically electable.

Overall, it's a good book. A quick read.
I do wish it would've been written with more compassion to the people who are currently going through suffering. The writing style has, in my opinion, more of a 'come on, don't feel sorry for yourself, stop whining and just trust God' attitude, that could scare off some readers.
That's why I wouldn't personally recommend giving the book to someone who's struggling with grief or fear.

All the Bible passages mentioned in the book are from the King James Version, so they might be a bit difficult for some people to read.

What a great little book! If a rating higher than five stars was available, I would give it! I was so taken with it that I stopped my reading long enough to search for other works by J. C. Brumfield, but could only find children's books. There is so much packed into this book with no fluff at all. It won't take long to read it, so please do!
