As Grandparents Day nears, Arnie worries about being the only kid in school who won't be bringing in a grandparent to celebrate the day, yet with the help of some of his older friends, such as Coach Ed and Ms. Childs, he is able to come up with the perfect solution to his dilemma.

Arnie isn't totally thrilled about the upcoming holiday at his school, "Grandparents' Day."

What can he do when he has nobody to bring, no grandparents. Nor does he have any guests who have agreed to attend?

FIVE STARS for bringing sweetness and hope, raising up the ideal of community to support youngsters as they grow.

In particular I'd recommend this book for children who lack any active grandparent presence in their lives.

It takes a village to raise a child. There's no requirement that these upstanding villagers must be blood relatives.
