This book is great for Kindergarten and up. One unique feature of this book is it is based on harvesting pumpkins and there is a glossary in the back of the book with more pumpkin information!

Readers follow two friends as they head to a pumpkin patch and choose just the right pumpkins. Information about the growing season and the different sizes and colors of pumpkins is provided against the backdrop of colorful digital and pencil illustrations. Anyone without a taste for dishes made from pumpkins might change his/her mind after reading this book. There is even a craft project in the back of the book.

Bumping this up to 3 stars after reading it aloud to 2nd graders today. I think it would probably fit best for older preschoolers through to kindergarteners (and maybe up through today's students if reading it themselves). Still, it was a nice companion to a book that focused on the lifecycle of a pumpkin plant.

This was okay, but I think it was for kids way younger than me.
