Rate this book
Grayson Delaney knows what it's like to do something so horrific he can never be forgiven. As penance, he lives up to everyone's low expectations. But when his father tires of his wastrel existence, Gray is forced to earn his living by running the brewery his father won in a card game. Now, he must learn everything about working in the brewery, while proving to the woman he loves that he's nothing like her spendthrift father.
Lady Margaret Bradford has one passion - the brewery that's been in her family for generations. But from the moment Gray Delaney enters her life, she realizes she's not only in danger of losing her brewery, but of losing her heart - to a man exactly like her father.
Now, she must not only safeguard the brewery from mysterious accidents, but protect her heart from a man who causes her to lose control of her emotions at every turn.

Written from a dual POV, Lady Margaret "Maggie" Bradford and Grayson "Gray" Delaney were on a collision course. Maggie's family owned a brewery that she worked for and loved. In the 1800's it was predominately run by men, but Maggie's father was'nt interested. He ended up losing the brewery to Gray's father while gambling. Gray's father gives him the brewery to run and earn a living. Gray and Maggie end up falling in love in spite of all the secrets they keep from on another. I liked the story because it was gradual, romantic, and dramatic. Mrs. Landon writes great love stories and her characters are always captivating.

Ale, tears and love

Okay, full disclosure. I enjoyed this book while imbibing on an adult beverage or two. Gray and Maggie operate a brewery, for heaven sake! They are so stubborn, so emotionally and physically scarred, they almost do not recognize love when it comes into their lives. The emotions run deep in this book. Keep a tissue handy. And a glass of ale.

Finally

She gave in to her true feelings and agreed to marry Gray. He gave her the deed to the brewery and Mayfair and was willing to walk away if she was still an unwilling bride. She was the one who told him that she was more than willing to marry him. She could not keep his child away from him.

Love

I enjoyed reading this book. It is about the Bradford Brewery that Maggie Bradford family owned. Grayson Delaney is another person in the story that is working at the brewery.
This story is one that I would recommend.
