Since I have been on multiple river trips, I can see this book is like a "How To" create impressive meals on the river (like you are a guide cooking for paying guests) and a lot of river etiquette which can be helpful if you don't know it but really does not relate to dutch ovens.

I like my camp cooking SIMPLE and this is not a simple recipe book. There are few recipes that use only the dutch oven and do not relate to multiple other steps.

Interesting but I will pass.

Lots of good bread recipes I want to try. I wish I could find a book though that didn't have so many meat recipes. Hmmm, (lathering on the lotion, my hands are rubbing together deviously deliciously..) I feel another book idea coming on.stop.the.presses.

Nothing beats a meal cooked in a dutch oven -- this book has some great recipes -- I have only tried a few so far but they were delicious....
