The handsome appearance of dissolute young Dorian Gray remains unchanged while the features in his portrait become distorted as his degeneration progresses.
I didn't think I would actually enjoy this book since I always have a hard time with classics. But man, this was so good. Dark, thoughtful, beautiful. I don't know why I haven't picked it up sooner but I'm glad I did now. Definitely a book that will keep me thinking for a while.
The plot: Dorian Gray's portrait shows his sins and years, as he remains pure and ageless to the world. The subtext: You can hide your skeletons in your closet, but ultimately, you still know they're there. the verdict: Beautifully written, very entertaining and solid.
just the beginning with Wilde's discussion of ART is worth the time enjoying initial part where Wilde's wicked sense of humor makes me laugh almost every page
I love the language, the humor, the story but don't get what the portrait symbolizes
Leyendo esto me acordé de lo mucho que me gustó el libro... Y de que me dije que cuando fuera más grande iba a leerlo de nuevo. Ese momento ha llegado 🛐
