Love a Younger Man

Rate this book
A Fine Work of Art By Shelby Reed At thirty-six, university art professor Elizabeth Gilstrom finds herself facing a bleak, lonely future when her husband leaves her for his young medical assistant. After giving up her own career as an artist a decade before, Elizabeth has nothing to show for their ten-year marriage…only the faded memory of a paintbrush's weight in her hand, an empty bed, and an empty heart. She's still reeling from shock and devastation when graduate student Boone McCrea walks into her office...and into her bed. Boone might only be twenty-four, but he is, quite simply, one of the most attractive men Elizabeth has ever seen, a work of art that stirs wild sensations she has long repressed. Zeke's Hands By Madison Hayes Thirty-something Sara fights her attraction to younger co-worker Zeke Rutherford, but she has a case of lust that just won't go away — no matter how desperately she struggles to ignore it. Zeke may be too young…too tall…too everything, but her traitorous sex drive couldn't care less. Zeke has the distinct impression Sara Walker has no idea exactly how hot she is. She may try to treat him like a kid, but he figures that won't last long after she gets a taste of him. Sara Walker is going down, he's decided. On him. Intent on conquest, at first Zeke overlooks Sara's reckless behavior. But when he's hanging from a crane in the middle of an electrical storm, he begins to learn the troubling truth about Sara. The woman is reckless to the point of no return. And when Schueller Engineering is offered a project in bomb-torn Iraq, guess who's the first to volunteer? Zeke races against time to discover the cause of Sara's irresponsible disregard for danger, before she takes it too far and he loses her for good. He's determined to work his way into this woman's life and prove to her that her heart is safe…in Zeke's hands.

At the age of ten, Shelby Reed wrote her first romance with Prince Charming — literally! — as the hero, and it's been non-stop story spinning ever since.

Despite the idealistic place from which she embarked, she's partial to writing realistic, flawed, multi-faceted characters, lush emotion, and the ever-possible happy ending.

When not pecking away at the computer keyboard, Shelby enjoys creative projects such as portraiture and decorating, and lives a bucolic life with her own Prince Charming in North Florida.

I loved it ,Older woman--Young man ,what more can you say to that .Short read but so good . The toes of her tasseled loafers brushed the runner`s fringe. She swallowed. Her pulse hadn`t seen this much action since she ran the Capitol Hill marathon in 1998."Boone"? "Elizabeth?" "I`m so out of practice." "You`re doing fine,"he said. She gazed at him,wide-eye with trepidation and undeniable need."Do I have to tell you what I want?" "You don`t have to do anything." ( well it just got better after that.) Loved it ! and Boone ! ya baby:)

First off let me say there is some spoilers for the second story of this book in my review so might not want to read that part if don't want spoilers. This is a off for me that I really liked the first story in this book, the second one not so much. If I was rating these stories separately would give the first one four to four and half stars second two to three stars tops.
Okay the first story A fine Work of Art by Shelby Reed. Pulled you in so that you felt the characters and were rooting for them. There was only twelve years of difference in their age but Elizabeth was not for sure about the difference and could they work it out. Then was the whole Professor, student thing. I liked they didn't just dismiss the problems but drew you in with them as they faced the different things. Boone was more than his looks and you fall for him as did Elizabeth. Yet they also showed some of his maturity for his age but some of the problems because of it. As you can see it was all over the place but so well done that you did the journey with them. The kind of story that stuck with you even after you were done. Would look for more by this author as really enjoyed it.
Zeke's Hands by Madison Hayes This one I had a hard time with. It made me question a couple of things but not in a good way. From the blurb it sounded good and some parts were. Yet that is the problem only some. There was a lot of description on parts leading up to the sex scenes but not of the surroundings but of what they wanted. Then when they got into the sex the body parts were called different things constantly in the same paragraph. (example: sheath, channel, slit and this only in a sentence or two.) For me the descriptions and wording was such a distraction it actually pulled me out of the story. Also i couldn't connect with the characters as much. She was in a field where she had to be smart to think on her feet, yet did some stupid things to the point it could have cost her life. Yet she didn't talk to people or seek help why she did this, which it sounded like she knew the basics why. And even other people knew but never stepped in to help her or get her help and these were her friends and some coworkers. He was all over the place in some instances in the sense he wanted her and to take care of her but when they had sex it almost seemed he really was in it for his on pleasure or how he wanted it. Only a couple places where i felt it was more. Did like the concept of the book but just don't feel that it really was pulled off well.
