The Tomb of Dracula gets more and more interesting as Marv Wolfman looks at the evil that is Dracula and humanizes him.

All the supporting characters have lives throughout these stories, Taj and his vampire son and crippled wife.

Drake, becoming homeless and penniless. Now tricked into going to Brazil by a "friend" from his past.

Van Helsing, worrying about Drake and falling victim to the schemes of Dracula.

Harker, surviving his car crash and creating more weapons against the Lord of Vampires.

Blade's first attempt at killing Dracula.

Political intrigue as Dracula takes hold of the House of Parliament and Lord Singleton.

All these are within the pages of this volume, although my favorite story was just Dracula sitting down writing his journal and reminiscing about his past. Well done.

The comics are fairly dated and cheesy but still entertaining. Dracula's always been an interesting comic book character. He's the rare villain to have his own series. He's also not only a bridge between Marvel's supernatural and superhero comics but has ties to the Conan and Kull eras as well.
