With the extension of artistic expression into the realm of sound and the creation of records and their sleeves, innovative works of great esthetic quality began to appear. Creative talents from a variety of artistic affiliations designed sleeves for their sound works, and in their hands the standard of 30 X 30 cm album cover came to be an especially attractive object. This detailed catalogue includes not only vinyls and CDs but also books, posters and other objects related to music and sound works.
This was, unfortunately, much better in theory than in practice. The idea of presenting album covers as an art form is interesting and worthy of publication, but the table used to show the album covers printed the works at about 1 inch by 1 inch. Not remotely useful, it's too small to see anything. The form of this book takes precedence over the subject, which really sucks.
