This was a really quick read. I appreciate Silver's friendly and warm, never pretentious, voice. Reading her work feels like talking to a friend, who knows a lot about magick. I like her definitions of magick, and I like her definitions of love. However, this book felt like it was lacking a lot to me.

I did not gain anything from the part about tossing out an old relationship. While I agree it's fair and good to clean the energy slate before moving onto other people, I don't think that most of the spells in that section tackled tougher situations. It's true that a lot of people see their exes through muddy lenses and may consider them "narcissistic" when they really aren't, but how about the people who were truly abused? I only saw these sort of break-ups mentioned a couple of times, but I think they're much more important to discuss, even if just to say "please seek professional help."

The spells, though, were really well-thought out and I thought the book was well-organized. I look forward to reading more of RavenWolf's work in the future!

This is easily one of the best items that I own. In contrast to her new book - The Witching Hour - this book is full of crafts and adventures - like having to find a crossroads & constructing a friendship pole with a rainstick. Its packed with lore and presented nicely - no information is overwhelming and everything is neat, easy to understand and well structured.

Despite its small size (not palm sized, don't worry) it's well worth the money and very entertaining too.
