I really liked this I won it on goodreads thanks. I loved this book some very helpful tips on using water color and the right brushes. It takes you through and not only tells you how to do certain techniques but also shows you with pictures how things should look. All in all a very informative book and I believe if you like water colors it will either help you refresh your knowledge or if you have never worked in this medium will be very easy to understand for a beginner. I think you will like it would be worth looking at and you might just become an artist in watercolor. I know I am going to try some of the things I v'e seen in this book gives me confidence that I could do it.
I received this through a giveaway ---- This is an extremely insightful book for beginners like me. Not only is it informative, but it is visually pleasing as well. First, the book teaches you the basics and then it gives tips on painting landscapes, still life, body parts, etc. I highly recommend this to people who are just starting out with watercolors and want to learn more about different kinds of techniques, how to paint a variety of subjects, and how to start off your first watercolor paintings.
Has a lot of examples, but not much description on how to achieve those examples. However, this is a minor quibble, as overall it seems to be a good guide to watercolour for a beginner artist.
This is a decent introduction to watercolour. It covers a wide variety of topics, of note: basic techniques and theories, rocks, trees, buildings, landscapes, people/features, glass/reflections. I found the descriptions of how to execute techniques a little too vague to be helpful for the beginner.
Love this book, it's beautiful to look at, and easy to follow, if you have done a small amount of watercolour before. If you are completely new then it might be a challenge, but it will still teach you all you need to know.
