Greek mythology and fae fantasy romance collide in this sweeping story of divided loyalty and forbidden love.
I am the daughter of the king, and he is the fae monster my father sent me to kill.
For years, the people of my kingdom have whispered tales of the monstrous Minotaur in the depths of an underground maze. Every night, he enters my dreams. His golden eyes capture mine. His horns caress my spine. And I always wake drenched in fear.
He’s waiting for me, I know.
But when I venture into the darkness, I find that the monster is in fact a handsome man, cursed by the fae gods to roam the maze. Trapped in the labyrinth with him, I start feeling something that I know I should not—a strange desire wells up within me.
My heart is torn between my loyalty to my kingdom and the man whose loneliness echoes my own.
As we attempt to escape the treacherous maze, secrets that were meant to remain hidden in its depths beg to be revealed, and with them comes a love so forbidden yet so powerful that it could forever change my life.
Author’s note: The story is a loose reimagining of the Greek myth of the Minotaur, and it is a standalone fae fantasy romance with an HEA.
Philinna Wood is an epic fantasy author. She loves telling stories about characters who fight for their beliefs, sacrifice themselves for love, and seek the truths that will liberate the world. The Heart of the Bloodstone is her debut novel.
39. The number of times the word ‘naked’ or ‘nakedness’ appears throughout the book. Every single time it was pointed out, after the first 2 times just started getting responses from me to the tune of: “No way! Naked? Can’t believe!” Or… “Naked? Surprise!” Or… “Let me guess, she looks better naked!”. I have nothing against nakedness, per se, but I felt this story wanted to be “sexy by naked” a bit too much. Remember, I whisper… naked.
1. The number of times the author used the word ‘cocksure’ and I thought: “I WILL BET MY DEAR MOTHER’S SOVIET SILVER CUTLERY THAT THE AUTHOR USED THIS WORD JUST BECAUSE IT HAS COCK IN IT!!!”
Fae Gods is a double fusion. And when fusions are used in cooking, we all know that sometimes the 2 cultures being mixed don’t really match. Whether the Greek mythology fused with faeries work, well, it’s entirely a matter of taste. Much like food. Same goes for something that can work as a young adult fantasy fused with new adult…adultering.
Fae Gods is, without a doubt, entertaining. Sex sells, and I don’t mean this in a bad way. It makes us all lighthearted. But, once you remove the explicit sex scenes, or the build up to graphic sex scenes through said nakedness (some of which, I am sorry, I cannot take seriously, and I quote: “His cock swings wildly right and left as he chases the unfortunate youths.” … sigh. I cannot take a scary Minotaur seriously imagining it. I just can’t. It’s not scary and it’s not sexy either), you have about a half a book left. That half a book left could easily be Young Adult because mythology is cool and loving someone you shouldn’t is cool, and Daddy-issues, and “Man, life sucks, it’s all on my 20-something years young shoulders”. On the other hand, to counterbalance my issues with this story, it delivers exactly what you would expect. You pick up this book and if you can’t wait to read this book even after you’ve read the blurb and the author’s note:
“This book is intended for readers who are 18 or older, as it contains explicit content and darker elements, including mature language, violence, and sex. The story is a loose reimagining of the Greek myth of the Minotaur, and it is a standalone fae fantasy romance with an HEA.”
Well, then you’re on to a winner. You get just that. Romantasy! Boom!
The final nail in the coffin for me was the fact that the characters of this story did not grow on me. I didn’t really get to know the main characters in a way I would have liked to have known them. I simply know what she’s a fighty character who likes to fix her mood with sex. And I can’t tell about the Minotaur because spoiler alert. I was really looking for the story to deliver a moment where I could exhale and go: oh, finally, they’re doing it. Or… Oh, that hit me in the feels so hard. But it’s just all, there. No major ups and/or downs. And I am a sucker for ups and downs. And yet, I mean, there is a story here. Yes, for sure there is. And as mentioned before, sex is entertaining, especially when words like ‘bushy slit’ are used, what, was it page 2? I mean, talk about taking you by surprise! Unfortunately, as you can tell, this one was not for me. And I feel that the sexiness of Fae Gods will overshadow the other half of the story that is present. Hmm. I’ve read my fair share of romance, paranormal romance, the new adult, the young adult, and I think I am simply fatigued by these types of stories and tropes and clichés. I have overindulged, I’ve moved on. But, hey, I’m like the only one in our group who felt this way so maybe just listen to what others have to say in their reviews and read this book anyway!
Thank you to Philinna Wood for my copy of the ARC of Fae Gods:Maze. Due to this kind gesture, I have decide to leave an honest review.
Greek mythology mixed with Fae, my two favourite things! What’s not to love?!!
The story starts off strong, the writing is very catching which pulls you in as it’s an extremely easy read that flows well.
I love that we had such a strong female lead who is very likeable. You get to see Avra go through so many difficult challenges personally testing her. It was great to see her character grow.
I enjoyed the world building and could picture the world like the movies immortals/clash of the titans/gods of Egypt/300 (so many movies I could reference since this is my jam!). The maze was intriguing and it did keep me interested.
I did click on rather quickly what was going on in the book but it didn’t put me off as the story keeps you gripped and you want to know what’s going to happen next. I love the way Philanna writes, it’s mystical when she is in full greek mode and I loved the tree!
All in all, it’s a quick read and I cannot wait to see where it goes next, and can I just say how beautiful the cover is?! LOOOOOVE! I definitely would recommend picking it up and getting stuck in!
I was graciously given this as an ARC to read and review!
Rating: 4 🌟 Spice: 🌶🌶🌶/5
Tropes: found family, “I was supposed to kill you but I fell in love with you instead,” “who did this to you?”
Brief Summary: After the death of her brother, Avra’s life completely changed. She learned the ways of blades trained for her life’s mission: to kill the Minotaur. But once she meets Nex, Namrela, and Werkan her life gets more turned around than trying to navigate the Maze.
This book was amazing! The world building was well paced, and the book jumped right into the action.
Avra is a fantastic main character, she is a genuine badass without it coming across as annoying. Nex has my entire heart and has moved up the list of my favorite book boyfriends (even though he’s blonde).
I would love two more books that each follow Namrela and Werkan. I completely fell in love with their characters and desperately want more of their stories.
Overall, I highly recommend this book! It takes a new spin on Greek Mythology and Fae, and I look forward to reading more from this author.
Fae Gods: Maze is one of Team Queen's Book Asylum's SPFBO 9 semi-finalists. Our group review can be read on Queen's Book Asylum. Our overall rating was 7.5/10, my personal rating is 7.5/10.
Out of our semi-finalists, Fae Gods: Maze intrigued me the most, as it seemed to be closest to my tastes. When I peeked at the first page, doubts crept in. Wood seemed desperate to let the reader know that in this world it’s *fae* gods who rule, who also suspiciously sound very much like the gods we know from Greek mythology. They just have different names and are apparently fae. If you didn’t know. Them being fae has absolutely no impact on the story whatsoever, apart from a slight difference in their appearance. On top of it, Fae Gods: Maze is a retelling of the story of the Minotaur, so the source of inspiration is pretty clear. Why the distinction for the gods was needed, remains to be a mystery. Especially as we don’t get much background story for them and what we get doesn’t explain their origins.
While my first impression wasn’t the best, and the first chapter made me unsure whether I’d end up liking the book, I kept reading on. I can’t say I loved Fae Gods: Maze, but at the same time, I found it hard to put it down. Once I got through my initial problems (and a lot of eye-rolling) with it, I kept turning the pages. I knew where it was going, but I was still curious to see how the characters would get there. It was one of the cases where I knew what the twist would be and wanted to know if I was right. I love being right.
Fae Gods: Maze puts an interesting twist on the Minotaur myth. The bigger part of the book is set right in the maze, although I wished it had more of a presence. The focus was on the characters and their quest, and it seemed like the maze itself was just an afterthought. I was missing a bit more about the atmosphere, I think. But, I’ll give extra points for putting an extra spin on Ares’ story (I totally agree with Olivia on this, too). Poor guy doesn’t get positive publicity often.
As for the characters, while I enjoyed reading about their story, I never really connected with them. On a deeper level, anyway. Plus, the romance happened a bit too quickly for my tastes. Especially if we consider that we have an enemies to lovers trope here. Sort of. And they really do get naked, a lot.
Despite my issues, I think people who love spicy Fantasy Romance and loose mythology retellings would absolutely enjoy Fae Gods: Maze. Once they look over the fae thing. There is not much to complain about when it comes to technical things – writing, pacing, etc., plus it has some pretty great ideas that makes this book entertaining and a total pageturner. Whether one agrees with the creative choices the author made, is something everyone has to decide for themselves. I, for one, am glad we got Fae Gods: Maze as one of our semi-finalists.
3⭐️ 2/5🌶️ This a sweet & fast paced read. I enjoyed the Greek mythology behind this, which was written in way that wasn’t too wordy and overly complicated. Also the cover is beaut.
The characters were interesting but i just wasn’t loving the romance.. I would have loved a-bit more tension and build up, it was fine I guess; but for me it was too insta- lovey.
I was kindly gifted an ARC of this, and I have to say, one of the best shut-in Sundays ever. "Forbidden romance" was among its selling points, and that was enough to pique my curiosity. Otherwise I went into this basically blind. While its Greek Mythology influences quickly became clear, drawing a lot from the myth of the Minotaur, the story hooked me in easily, and even though I could guess where the story was going in terms of where the forbidden romance was going, I was still deep in it and found I couldn't stop reading, eventually just burning through the whole thing in a day. And it delivered on the forbidden romance, and then some.
The only real issue I had with it was a "liar reveal" plotpoint, which is not my cup of tea, just for how frustrating it can get (without going on a lengthy tangent), but at the very least, here it fit in with the plot and character themes the book was addressing, trust and lies and how those fit into finding love and such. Also, while this was by no means a deal breaker for me, it gets pretty erotic with its intimate moments. Now that threshold varies from person to person, and for me, I blush easily, so while I enjoyed it, I can imagine anyone not into erotica in their reading might do more than just blush. So just putting that out there for anyone interested.
Otherwise, this was a thoroughly satisfying romance read, and recommend it to anyone who just needs a pick me up with a story about people who deserve love finding the love they deserve.
UPDATE: The book is officially out and now available as a paperback, hardcover, kindle, and KU! Thank you to all my ARC readers who left reviews and even to those who didn’t. I love you all and I thank you for giving my book a chance 🌸
Fae fantasy romance meets Greek mythology in this new series where the Greek gods are fae. The first book in inspired by the Greek myth of the Minotaur and it is a standalone, fast-paced romance with a HEA!
This is what my beta readers have said about it: sexy, heart-racing, moody, and adventurous.
The ebook is up for preorder on Amazon with a temporary cover! Once the permanent cover is ready I'll do a cover reveal on my Patreon and TikTok!
I'll be doing a paperback and a hardcover edition as well.

Next book in the series will be a Hades and Persephone retelling, and as usual I will be publishing the chapters on my Patreon as I'm writing them!
Fae Gods: Maze is a story of a princess trained to hunt and kill the monster.
Avra is forced into secret training in combat when her beloved brother, the heir to the throne, dies. And her kingdom sits above an unsteady evil; labyrinth holding the crazed minotaur beast below. Except, the monster is getting restless, causing terror and hidden destruction above ground. Avra is sent below, to stop the danger before it becomes too much for her people.
However, once she is in the maze, she faces all kinds of personal and physical conflicts she never anticipated; with betrayal seeming to be hiding behind every turn, and enemies and allies in people she didn’t expect. She must re-evaluate her life’s plan and goals when she realises the beast is actually a man, as lonely and trapped as she.
-my review-
I’ll start out by saying I definitely enjoyed this book. I feel like it has all the themes of a popular new adult fantasy today, and some really appealing tropes that booktok will love.
I found this to be a really easy book to read and enjoy, with a good mix of low stake character building, as well as moments of thrill that drew me in. The premise was really intriguing, and the blend of fae gods lore and greek mythology was an aspect of the book I was really looking forward to reading and liked. The story, to me, was the perfect book to read casually when you don’t really want to put much effort in.
The next part of my review is overly critical, as I did genuinely enjoy the book, and would recommend for someone wanting just an easy fantasy standalone, greek mashup romance. Since fantasy storylines can be hard to do without making them too long, this had just enough to follow the world and motivations without dragging, and it did give me what I wanted out of the story; and if Philinna continues with the fantasy retellings I will be reading them.
In saying this, naturally I did find the book had some short-falls for me:
I found the main character naive and oblivious throughout a lot of the story to the other character’s behaviour and feelings. I think the twists generally were fairly predictable to the kind of story it was, and that some of the themes that could’ve been easily explored in a deeper sense were brushed over by the conclusion of the book. There were a few things that just weren’t plausible or realistic for the situation (like the actual timeline of events) that messed with me, but that’s just me being nit-picky. The context of the world and important pieces of information sometimes felt like info-dumps just to get it in, instead of being organically woven into the story, especially at the beginning of the story. And the imagery was either nice and smooth, or too pushy to flow.
There were a few moments where things were just jumping around, from either emotional reactions flipping randomly, to physical scenes that weren’t clear enough for me to follow at times, though the latter didn’t happen enough to be a real problem for me. The language itself was a bit repetitive, and didn’t flow in some areas, and I did get sick of the repetitiveness of referring to ‘fae gods’, though I do understand why it was used. I got used to it, but it was still kinda annoying.
Overall I think this was a good start to a hopefully continuing series of fantasy storylines. While I wasn't as consumed with the book as I had hoped going in, I did still enjoy the read (I devoured it in a day, so 🤷♀️) and I definitely think it is worth picking up if you like greek mythology retellings or fae romance.
"I should be grateful for the light, I should, but the last time it came, death was holding its hand".
I was kindly gifted this book as an arc, and let's just say this book was definitely a page turner, and I really enjoyed it to the end! The first chapter, the wordbuilding, wasn't the greatest, but that was not really important once they entered the maze. The mix of greek mythology, fae and a giant maze was a surprisingly interesting mix, it was so interesting to read about their lives while in the Maze. I loved reading about everything that was revealed throughout the book, there was so much I didn't see coming!
And it was interesting to say the least, that the fmc managed to get her clothes ripped off on so many occations, I still don't understand how that happened😂
💫 Imagine being raised with one purpose in life, it's all you've even worked towards..but then you discover the truth that has been hidden right under your nose the entire time. Will you go through with your purpose, or find a new one? How do you figure out what's true and what's not, when everyone tells you different things?
I was lucky to get this book as a ARC from Philinna wood.
I really loved the book. The first few chapters didn’t catch’s me right away. But we once’s she got in the maze I read the whole book in one evening. It’s easy to read. And it kept me reading through multiple high points that kept you in the book.
Let me just say that I could not put this book down! It’s a mix of Maze Runner, The Hunger Games and a bit of Percy Jackson but with fantasy! Fae Gods, humans, war, forbidden love. Kings and princess…
I connected so well with the characters, Avra (FC) is strong, she’s determined to do whatever it takes to protect the people she loves. She has such a strong will and all she’s ever wanted was love. Nex (MC) is loving, understanding and patience but if you touch his woman he won’t have mercy on you, "I'd end the whole world for you, Princess."
This book made me cry it made me laugh, it made me angry… it made me feel so many emotions all at the same time. This was a fast read for me. I was on a reading slump and this book got me out of it. I wish I could read it for the first time again. I’m hoping there would be a second book. If you ask me ? I recommend this book 100% give it a try!🥰

There is great chemistry and humour within these pages. What I especially like is the unique perspective on fae gods.
(Quotes in the comments)
I am not into spicy reads that's why I skipped over those parts. I do think attraction was heavily focused on and there are a few moments especially in the beginning, that was weird for me . The female main character is so strong willed and stubborn in her own views that you understand how and why she thinks the way she does.
The story has a few twists that I couldn't put together, a few I guesses right, but it was as if I had the puzzle pieces, but I didnt know where to put all of them. The pacing was not very slow, nor very fast, except for the ending where a lot of things happen and the pacing is fast. It didnt take long to finish this one.

Oh, I liked this one so much until the last few pages.
The writing is light and easy, although there are Greek words I didn't recognise immediately, but that's what Wikipedia is made for.😊
The first half reads along in a nice pace, one wants to know more about the main characters and why they think how they think. And the more we read, the more we get into the depth of their way of thinking and how their thoughts are like the peels of an onion - layers upon layers.
There was one thing I came back to mentally a lot in the first half, and that's the fact that no one though it weird that the olive tree is actually alive. It's a tiny detail, but it kinda weirded me out in the middle of other scenes.
Sadly, I already figured very early how this story is going to end, since it was quite obvious at one point. If this one section would have been changed up a little it could have been blurred more convincingly 🤗
I wrote that I liked it until the last few pages, and I meant that. The pace of the story is so nice and smooth, no rush "to get done with it" as in other books. But then suddenly it feels like on every other page a new scene happens and all the good stuff gets cramped into those few pages. My heart ached, I would have loved to read more about that key scene, or the aftermath.
The cover is one nice piece of art!
All in all it was a good, light read which hooks you and leaves you satisfied.
This was the first book I have read by this author, and I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC copy, so thank you so much, Philinna! 😊 After this read, I can tell you I will be diving into more of this author's stuff!
This was Fae meets Greek Mythology, and I just ate it up! I could not put this book down! I read it in a day, and I will definitely be buying a physical copy to have sitting all pretty on my bookcase and be able to grab for a re-read!
It was such a good twist on the usual fae genre. Enemies to Lovers is my thing, and this book just gives it! I think Nex is my new book boyfriend! 😍 The plot was amazing, and the delivery and pace of the book was perfection.
I would like to know more about the olive tree.. and I would've loved for it to end on a shocking cliffhanger, but we can't have it all! The last few pages were wrapped up a bit quick, too, as in the aftermath of the battle, I would've liked a bit more there, but it was still great! I hope there is a second book, and if there is, then I can't wait to read it!
Overall, it was a great read! If you love fantasy and romance, a strong FMC, enemies to lovers, and Greek mythology, then I would highly recommend this book. Happy Reading! 📚
Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read this book. I enjoyed every second of it
This book had me gripped from the start. The best way I know how to describe this book is if Percy Jackson, ACOTAR, and Maze Runner had a baby.
I will admit at first I was worried that this book would turn into a conversion story, but it didn’t. The main character, Avra, starts out despising the Fae gods. She knows they exist, she just chooses not to worship them. Though out the story we see her develop and eventually come to terms with the fact that not all of the Fae gods are bad.
I think my favorite thing about this book is the character development we see in Avra. I also think the author did a really nice job with the world building in this book.
I think the biggest complaint I have about the book is I wish we got more background on all of the gods. Anytime one of their names came up it would just pass over who they were and then that would be it. I had to keep flipping back to remind myself who they were.
Firstly, round of applause for that cover. That certainly caught my eye. And when I found out the story inside was Fae inspired by Greek Mythology, I was intrigued.
This is based around the story of the Minotaur, trapped in the labyrinth. We join Avra who has been raised as a warrior since the accidental death of her brother. To bring honour to her family she descends into the labyrinth, where no one has previously returned from, swearing she will slay the Minotaur.
However, due to a turn of events. She finds herself trapped in the labyrinth where she might learn things aren't how they seem, and life isn't all about Duty before everything else.
I really liked the Greek Mythology woven into this story, a lot of tales you'll recognise if you like Greek mythology but they have been given a fae twist here.
Thank you to the author for kindly gifting me an arc of this book (all opinions are my own) and you don't have long to wait for this to be released now
This was very much a Greek mythology retelling but with the vibes of KU fae fantasy that we all love 😍
This particular story was a minotaur retelling where our warrior princess enters the maze to kill the beast plaguing their land. But when she comes face to face with him, she is set on an adventure more than she bargained for!
I really enjoyed this! The story had a few twists and turns that I wasn't expecting and gave it some depth.
The romance is kinda enemies to lust to lovers I would say! Nice amount of spice for me around 3/5 🌶
I love the way the author built out the minotaur maze it really felt like it had a mind of its own and almost as if it was another character/player in the game !
Also happy pride month, this had some side characters queer rep !
A nice tied up ending made this a fun stand alone, though there will be other retelling in this group of books so keep your eye out ! 👁
First of all, the cover of this book is 👌 *chefs kiss* I got the opportunity to ARC read this book and let me tell you that when it comes out I will be buying myself a copy to keep on my shelf! This is my first arc read and at the beginning I was a little confused and a bit worried about the olive tree talking ? As it left me questioning the relationship with the tree which is weird to say in itself!
I love all the action in this book and once we met Nex I had already concluded on the role he played but it was still really enjoyable nonetheless.
I liked the characters and others I ended up not liking based on the choices they had made But this book is still very different to others especially knowing that it includes Fae, it’s nothing like I’ve read before
Thankyou to Philinna for giving me the opportunity to ARC read this book! ❤️
When I say I couldn’t put this book down, I mean it. The story is well paced and easy to follow which is exactly what I want for a chilled reading experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the humanity of our FMC, her openness and owning of her sexuality and the exploration of being raised a warrior and how that stripped her of her femininity. It’s rare you see this addressed so I found it to be a considerate and honest portrayal of what she was forced to became after the passing of her brother. Nex is a gentle little beast and I love him. The smut lover in me definitely wanted to see the *spice* happen in his Minotaur form but we move 😂 I wish the book had spent a LITTLE more time letting us get to know the King. I wanted to see more as to why he was so evil or understand how he’d become that way better. All in all, a cosy read which I thoroughly enjoyed and I’ll be keeping an eye on this series to hopefully read the future releases 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Spice scale - 🌶️🌶️ Romance meter - ♥️♥️♥️♥️ Plot/story - ⚔️⚔️⚔️ World building - 🌏🌏 Character development - ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
First can we TALK about how cute the cover is for this Fae meets Greek Mythology Novel? I really enjoyed this one all the way to the end and didn’t want it to end! With the world building, characters and mix of Greek Mythology it was so fascinating and she even added in a maze that somehow made sense and added the elements of the novel! I came for the Fae/Greek Mythology aspect of it and I was not disappointed!
You’ve been raised one way only to discover the truth but do you even know what’s real or not, how do you know who’s telling the truth? The FMC is amazing, strong and she owns who she is and has become after being raised a warrior and her brother passing away. She also manages to get her clothes ripped off more often than they were on it felt like lol. I highly recommend it and can’t wait for the next novel from Philinna.
This book, OMG! I have read many of books, but this is one I'd love to have a copy of on my shelf to always have. I loved it so much!! 😍 Philinna was nice enough to let me ARC read it and I can't thank her enough! When reading this book, I didn't want it to end. A beautifully detailed story that makes you feel like youre right there! With characters so easy to love and has you enjoy each page! You get to read as the characters learn who they are, fighting for what is right, and learning to love and be free again! With so many twists and turns you get a never ending tale of fun!
Amazing book! Definitely on my reread list. I will say, it feels more Cupid/Psyche to me than Hades/Persephone like she promoted it as, but I still loved it. The Fae aspect added something a bit extra on top that made it feel fresh. The spicy scenes were 🔥.
I will say a missed opportunity for some monster love, but I can live with it. Maybe in the sequel.
Recommend for anyone who like mythology retellings, fae novels, or just something a bit spicy and different.
I was kindly provided an ARC for this from the author.

I throughly enjoyed this book. I really loved the fae and Greek mix! Absolutely LOVE the FMC. Another note i made during reading was the world building. What a wonderful world you created! The characters were easy to love and I flew through this book.
Nex… 😏
A maze???? I mean cmon!!!!!
Also this cover is so beautiful i will definitely be adding a physical copy to my shelves !!!!
I really loved this book. Its loosely based on Greek mythology and has a very captivating story. The characters all are really loveable and although the book only has 300 pages they really grow on you. The romance part which is a enemies to lovers/forbidden love trope is beautifully written and as captivating as the rest of the plot. I've read the book in one sitting and couldn't put it down. So if you love fantasy romance, enemies to lovers and Greek mythology this book is a must read !
OMG I absolutely love this book. The twist on Greek mythology and fae? 🤌 Absolute perfection. The world building was amazing as well, without being too drawn out or overly complicated.
I love the FMC as well, and Nex? Absolutely swoon worthy..plus the side characters were wonderfully fleshed out and Werken will definitely remain one of my favorites. I will absolutely be adding this one to my trophy shelf as soon as possible!
It was an interesting take on the Minotaur and a blend of Greek mythology and Fae.
Once I got past this strange mix I quite enjoyed the story and was intrigued as to how it would end. I found the romance happened really fast and didn't feel totally connected to the characters. I wish we got have had more build up or the challenges they faced in the maze as it all seemed to be too easy.
The ending was satisfying though. I'll probably have a look at the next in the series.
Got this book as a review basis and found is really did like it. If you like twist on old myths and like the Greek tales of old with romance thrown in this is the book for you. I was at first not sure but as I got into the book I found I loved the book. From loss of a loved one, betrayal from another and a love that beats all it is well worth the read. I would say it is one to read for sure.
An imaginative retelling of the minotaur myth, that falls a bit flat on execution. The plot and the writing just screamed 'wattpad book', however this is still an enjoyable bit of escapism. The love story was well done and portrayed a mature, slow burn, relationship. It was all just a bit too predictable though.
I really enjoyed the unique story of this book! Close to Greek mythology but with fae. The writing wasn’t my style at first but I found the story compelling and ended up enjoying all of it. I really liked the FMC and found her very believable. 4 ⭐️
