About five feet away from where Sprocket was snoring, there was a medium-sized hole in the wall of Captain's workshop. And if Sprocket had been small enough to crawl through the hole, he could have travelled down long tunnels and twisty passages and mysterious caves. and discovered the world of Fraggle Rock!

And finally from today's trip, a blast of nostalgia. Fraggle Rock was such a bit part of my childhood, alongside other Jim Henson masterpieces such as The Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal.

Although this is more about Sprocket, Doc's trusty workshop dog, it does feature an intertwined fraggle story to keep the interest up. Not that Sprocket isn't enough, but if you are going to have a Fraggle Rock book you need to have a good helping of fraggles.

It is a little slow, doesn't have quite enough Fraggle madness, and lacked a song, it still packed a nostalgic punch. 3 1/4 stars.

The artwork is quite good and the story is cute. I wouldn't bother adding it to a kid's collection, but for Fraggle collectors is a great book to have.
