I read this when I was pretty young and loved it. Looking back over it as an adult I don't think it ws quite that good. It's space opera and pretty decent space opera. All the stories are by four specific authors, Lester Del Rey, Carl H. Claudy, Peter van Dresser, and Robert Moore Williams. I don't remember seeing much else by Claudy and Dresser, but the stories are fun for teenagers, especially of the time when I was reading them, which would have been the early 1970s. The book was published in 1959.

Some of the titles are pretty cool: "Masterminds of Mars," and not ERB's version. "Rocket to the Sun." "The Red Death of Mars." "The Land of No Shadow."
