This was a wonderful 'fact' book about dogs. Very true to real ways of 'reading' a dog and why dogs do what they do. (My adult daughter is a vet tech and she was listening to me read to my granddaughter and she was impressed with this book and made the comment she wished most her patients would read this.) The facts are easy for a child to understand but not so 'cut and dry' that it's boring. It also gives 'warnings' about if you see a certain trait or act in your dog to get them to the vet. And it lists the bred of dog that is most hyper, likes to dig the most, etc. So would help you in decided on a dog for your family. This book could also be used in a child's Science report.
