After Mater and Lightning McQueen hear a mysterious sound one night, they decide to investigate. But when they can't figure out where it's coming from, Radiator Springs suddenly becomes very spooky!
Disney•Pixar's Cars fans will love this all-new Step 2 reader featuring all of their favorite characters.
My child is so obsessed with this book, I've read it once today already. He requires us to read it to him at least once a day...I picked it up at the library to kind of get ready for Halloween-themed things, but now that he loves it so much, we keep having to check it out of the library over and over. I think we're gonna need to buy this one...
My 3 kids and I enjoyed reading this book. My younger kids love Cars so this was a hit in my house. This is a good book for beginner readers as well. I would recommend this book to others.
This was really cute!! A journey through Mater & Lightning McQueen creeping themselves out. I mean, we’ve all been there! Just spooky enough fog little kids, while giving them a sense of “me too.”
This was a neat book to show children the difference between what shadows and being scared of monsters are. Mater and Lightening hear a sound and they go to investigate and while they go to find it they see things that they think are monsters, but in each case are just shadows of things. (Such as tires piled up, or Sarge being worked on etc)
This was a cute little book. While out one night Lightning McQueen and Mater hear peculiar noises or see scary shapes that are particularly unnerving for Mater. McQueen investigates each of them and always there is a rational explanation, at least until the end. If your child is familiar with the Cars series of movies they will recognize the characters. Still, even if they aren’t they will still likely enjoy this book for the story presented. In short, this is a nice addition to any child’s bookshelf.
Although I'm not a Disney fan, I am a Pixar fan. The kids love the cars, and my 3 year old was introduced to a car movie last week. So, the book score is based on more of a 'fad' than actual content. As a parent, the pictures have vivid colors, but sometimes the words are too dark for reading and may be difficult for little ones.
Great stories for a Cars fanatic like Nicholas. Mater and Lightning are scared in this one but they always find out there isn't anything to be scared of.
