Vinyl

Rate this book
As creative talents began to design record sleeves, the standard 30 x 30 cm album cover came to be an especially attractive object. Now vinyl has an almost mythic character and real historical value. 'Vinyl' is a detailed catalogue of the collection held by the Archive for Small Press and Communication in the Neues Museum Weserburg in Bremen, which includes not only records and CDs but also books, posters and other objects.

Has the exact feeling of going over to a friends house and riffling though their record collection

This was, unfortunately, much better in theory than in practice. The idea of presenting album covers as an art form is interesting and worthy of publication, but the table used to show the album covers printed the works at about 1 inch by 1 inch. Not remotely useful, it's too small to see anything. The form of this book takes precedence over the subject, which really sucks.
