I love the artwork of this series so much that I forgive it a lot of little details that annoy me, but in this volume, the main character became so annoying, and so selfish, that I had difficulty reading it. I am still going to give volume 8 a try, but I hope that this current stream of "I forgive you, no wait, I don't forgive you" will finish soon.

This is not your typical love story at all. Both Nana and Moto have some issues to work through. Nana is getting conflicting input from friends as well.
Apparently I like reading soap operas! I am enjoying the fact that the characters have these insecurities and can admit it, as well as you can see they are pretty mature in some respects.
One little thing that bugs me is the fact that Nana still calls Moto by his last name... He calls her by her first name at least when they are alone, so why??? It may be a nuance I just don't understand but it kinda bugs me! I like this art style as well, the eyes are so pretty and it's pretty easy to follow.

This series is fairly true to what highschool relationships are like - lots of heightened emotions and involvement by other people. Nana is insecure, Yano keeps screwing up, Takeuchi is trying to get together with Nana, and Yamamoto is trying to get together with Yano. That's a lot of feelings and drama! I'm enjoying seeing Yano's relationship with his mother, who gave birth to him young and through an affair with a married man, and Takeuchi's chats about relationships with his 23-year old, more seasoned sister. This series is a comfort read, but it's so good because the characters are fleshed out, with their own good and bad traits. Sometimes you love them, sometimes they're frustrating, and sometimes you don't know what to think.

I still don't really understand why yano is considering going with his mom, or why his mom is even moving there. They were just fine staying at the house. But Nanami was particularally whiny in this volume, even though I understand her reasoning. :'(

I liked this one a lot more than the previous volume. I'm definitely no longer on the Yano-boat, so it was a breath of fresh air to start seeing Take gain some ground.

And that crap with Yano being a bitch to his mom? Uhhhh, no thanks. Bye, bye, Yano! I hope she ditches you for good!

They just keep rehashing the same fights over and over again. They are both to immature and selfish to even make this work. I feel like they both would be better off without each other at this point, there is nothing to root for here.

I breezed through this volume because I honestly needed to get to the time skip. 😭 I don't think I had much opinions on this volume in particular.

Too many misunderstandings are making this insanely annoying… Plus, Takeuchi acting like a simp isn’t helping either!!!! Boy, get out of here!!!!

Hmm, while Yano definitely made some mistakes, I believe that Nana's friends are right. She's just kind of sitting there, waiting for the right moment when she's ready to make up with Yano, but at some point you either have to decide that you want to make up with that person, or whether or not to end the relationship. It seems like from the beginning their relationship was broken and that maybe it's best that they spend some time apart. I feel like Nana is going to keep being unsure about things and that their relationship will only continue to deteriorate. Don't get me wrong I think they make a good couple, but it seems as if their relationship is extra fragile to problems that arise.

When Yano stands Nanami up on a special and romantic day together that she had planned, she breaks down crying (once again). Not because he stood her up, but because he stood her up for Yamazaki!

Takeuchi ends up coming to Nanami's rescue and finally, unable to hold back any further, confessing his affections and needs to protect her. He tells her he'll never make her cry, and that he'll wait for her for as long as it takes.

Nanami and Yano's relationship has been rocky from the start, but now Nanami needs to decide who she /wants/ to love.

¡Finalmente Take! Me agrada mucho, mucho más él que Yano. Aunque entiendo la razón de que Yano sea el protagonista. Imagino como terminará todo pero voy a continuar leyendo, a ver si Nana se decide...

I'm liking the art work more and more with each volume. The series while good, has its moments where its either slow or just plain angst. Not that that's a bad thing or anything. Interesting so far.

The first and the best shoujo manga I have ever read nothing made me feel what I felt the same as We Were there did.
