I liked that it looked like a three-year old book but there were words like "extraordinary" that a three year old would not know. It was fun to read.

Out for a walk one day, Little Miss Sunshine is surprised to see Little Miss Bossy suddenly turned into a bat. The next day she witnesses Mr. Rude turned into a toad. As more Mr. Men and Little Misses are similarly transformed, Little Miss Sunshine discovers that the Wicked Witch is to blame, and learning that she is the next target, she seeks out Little Miss Magic for help...

I have very fond memories of the spinner rack of Mr. Men and Little Miss books that Mrs. Marquee kept in my second-grade classroom as a girl, and was very pleased to see them reappear here in the states a few years back (for a time they disappeared here). That being said, I haven't really revisited these books, no doubt worried that they wouldn't live up to my nostalgic regard. That being said, my interest in witchy picture books led me to track down Little Miss Sunshine and the Wicked Witch, which I found very engaging. Unsurprisingly, the witchy scenes were my favorite part here! Recommended to young children who enjoy these books, and who also like magical stories.

If you're two years old or older, you're ready to learn from the inspiring saga of Little Miss Sunshine and a Wicked Witch.

This story has just enough suspense to mix in with the inspiration. And the boomstick ride struck me as exhilarating. And, as usual, at the end, is there laughter?

Definitely.

You get a bit more story in these Magic series books. Little Miss Sunshine comes up against a wicked witch and with a little help manages to get the best of her.
