This book was fun to read, very comical. I like the fact that is had rich vocabulary and that it has bold words. It also has fun rhyming, the illustrations are great. This book I will recommend to early readers to pre -k. My classmate choose this book for her book show case because is a great book for children and I agree. For the presentation was great and the only thing is that this book is long to memorize but after that it was a good presentation.

Review: This is a fun and cute book to read to young children ages 3-7 years of age. It has great illustrations. The book also has great repetition which is good to practice children's memory. It's also a great sequence book.
I give this book a five star because I think it is a very funny book because kids know that old woman cant swallow a fly or all the other stuff the old lady was able to swallow. This book is a good way to introduce fiction books to children and explain that this is a story and this cant really happen in real life. I rate this book a five star because it is funny and has a nice illustration.
There was an old woman who swallowed a fly was a great book to read. There were great illustrations to go along with the text. The story was amusing and easy to follow because you just had to know why she would swallow that fly. This story is a great children's book that keeps you guessing because you just have to know what the old woman would swallow next.
This is a silly book which takes children through the day of an old lady who swallows all sorts of different animals! This book will get children thinking and maybe even make them giggle. This book is beautifully illustrated and has a very strong rhyme scheme throughout.
I enjoyed reading this book because it makes children laugh. They are just anxious to see how the book is going to end. The entire time I know they are thinking "How did she swallow that?!"
