This sing-a-long book is great for young children. Set to the tune of "If you're happy and you know it," the book travels along finding different animals. The illustrations are beautiful and bright and children are sure to love this book!
If You're Happy and You know it by Jane Cabraea Audio book but I'm pretty sure the colorful pictures go along with what the people are doing in the pictures. Children's book about a monkey elephant and a giraffe. Remember playing this song with my grandson as we did different things. Some silliness and laughter for all. I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
A winner for movement storytime! Seriously fun - it worked for baby storytime too. Who can resist the colorful pictures to go along with the classic movement song? One day I shall personally own each of Jane Cabrera's sing-along action books.
C. If You're Happy and You Know It is an upbeat and exciting song that has all the young children engaged and singing along, keeping their spirits high!
D. This song is great because it acknowledges the emotions of young children by repeating if you're happy and you know it clap your hands. It keeps the children engaged by having them use their bodies through clapping throughout the song. This also helps children associate clapping with happiness which is exactly how it should be correlated.
E. Emotions- This can become a lesson on emotions, in this case happiness where children are able to talk about things that make them happy or bring in things that support that emotion.
Following Directions- This song helps children grasp the concept of following directions by having them listen to the song and clap when it asks.
Jack borrowed this book from the Columbus Metropolitan Library. I picked it because he loves this song and jungle animals. We were singing nursery rhymes today, so when I pulled out his library books later, he was primed to enjoy this one. He selected it to read first and started singing the song before I could even read the little introduction. He liked the different animals and was really excited to "dance" by spinning around and jumping like the lemur and frog, respectively. A definite hit.
I thought this book was a great play on the old nursery rhyme. This book takes the old nursery rhyme to new heights. This sing along used animals! "If you're happy and you know it, roar out-loud..." I loved this sing along and it would be great for elementary students to be able to express their feelings.
I lost my voice a week ago, but wanted to still have story time with my granddaughter. I found this book at the library (Read Along - Wonder Book). It had the audio read along, so that all I had to was turn the pages. Of course, we mimicked the various ways you show you are happy. This is actually a sing a long and be ready to have some fun when you turn it on.

Bright, colorful animals sing If You're Happy and You Know It! Fun opportunity for interactive read aloud - most of the audience will know that song and the majority of the movements. Great way to get kids up and moving.
We are really enjoying Jane Cabrera's books these days. My kids love singing and nursery rhymes, so we've been enjoying some twists on favourites! Fun books, fun illustrations. Enjoyable to kids and adults - this one is a good action book!
This was such a cute story! It teaches the children about different animals and also gets them up and moving and interacting as they mimic the different movements the animals make.
Discover some new verses to a very familiar tune that will get readers singing, jumping, spinning, and more. Great for rainy days, getting out some lingering wiggles, or getting theatrical.
I loved this book! It’s just happy vibes. I feel like this would be better for a 9-12month who can do the dance with you. But it’s still a great book for happy times.
