He is the universal patron - whatever our petition is, you can pray to St. Joseph with confidence. He was the foster father of Jesus Christ on earth, and Jesus still obeys his requests in heaven! God chose St. Joseph over all other men to represent the fatherhood of God Himself in the Holy Family. This book was compiled and released in 1997, and then in 2012 the eBook edition was created. The Nihil Obstat: is by Rev. Msgr. Charles W. McNamee, S.T.L., J.C.L. Censor Librorum and the Imprimatur: from Most Rev. Thomas G. Doran, D.D., J.C.D. Bishop of Rockford April 15, 1997. I have upon occasion come across prayer books with questionable prayers, and weak theology. This is not one of those books. The book opens with a Litany to Saint Joseph even before you get to the contents. The chapters in the volume are:
