A very strange writing style (among other things) made this a difficult book to read - this being true of the early chapters especially which contains list of equipment and to-do lists. I found this part of the book very boring.

These time-travellers have no qualms about introducing (future) technologies into the past they travel to: guns, vehicles, telephones etc: no problems introducing these technologies into the 9th Century. The resultant changes in history are called new realities.

I struggled to see the point of the story which seemed to go on from one event to another without any real point or objective.

Finally made it through, found it a bit of a slog sorry. It felt like someone's dream translated to paper - as if over many twilight moments the author had got lost in the detail of an indulgent dream rather than a crafted story. I don't intend to be harsh in my comment tending to find value in everyone's endeavour but - for me the story rather than the logistics are the priority in a good book and this offering was long on logistics and short on human interest.

A standard time-travel story about alteration of the timeline, starting in medieval England. Uses parallel universes to deal with paradoxes. Does a very good job of establishing believable historical settings and events. If you want a detailed, blow-by-blow account of the effort, including lists of personnel and equipage, then this is the place to go.
