I've read this book probably 10 or more times since I bought this when I was in London. I love reading about monarchy, their history and line of succession. I can recall information from this book when I watch the History, Discovery and Bio channels.

Review - This is a great little guide to the genealogy of the royal family, and the changes of dynasty. It includes comprehensive family trees from the pre-conquest kings to the present day, and images of monarchs from the early days to the modern times. This is the updated version from 2016 so includes up to the birth of Princess Charlotte of Cambridge in 2015. Well worth having as a reference book in case you forget some of the details of the line of monarchs dating back to the 6th century.

I have often become confused while reading biographies of different royals as to who was related to whom and which house/time period/famous person/event they were related to.

This slim text, with family trees separated into the houses (House of Tudor, House of Windsor, etc.), as well as colorful pictures and anecdotes, was a very useful guide.

I am fascinated with Royal History so naturally I enjoyed this book. There is a snapshot of each ruler of the British throne for the last thousand years. Although there was only a two page snapshot of each ruler it was educational as I got to read about lesser known rulers.
