Raised in a "progressive conservative" Mennonite home, Nikki had many issues and obstacles to overcome when it came to views on personal sexuality. Writing erotica played a very influential role in freeing her from many of those inhibitions.
She now writes contemporary, M/M/F and romantic suspense romantica. Her novels are widely published and have been translated into several languages.
Besides writing smut, she works at a hospital laboratory part time. She has been married to the same amazing man for almost 22 years, and has three incredibly smart, funny, intelligent sons to call her own. The first one is heading off to college this fall...and she is NOT going to cry. Much.

Prism - Nikki Soarde - 3 / 5 - Clay and Dax are already in a semi-monogamous relationship, but things are getting kind of boring and they’re increasingly irritated with each other. They need something to spice things up. Their answer comes in the form of a college friend, Sidney, who they haven’t seen in six years, but has returned from Paris after getting a divorce. They’re surprised at the mutual attraction and even more so that both Clay and Dax want her. So they sex it up. A pretty steamy little story. I love that this is a meange story with a bisexual male couple so there is a variety of MMF combinations going on. Definitely spiced things up a bit. This isn’t that great for characterization or depth of plot or anything, but for straight up smut, it’s pretty fun!
Twilight - Anya Bast - 3 / 5 - This is something of a fantasy story, as Nico and Dai are two mages who are seeking the female third of their sacred triad in order to join their magicks in order to prevent some encroaching darkness. They find Twyla, but she’d been brutally raped and nearly killed years ago and is not trusting of men. But she does warm up to them gradually and Nico and Dai do everything they can to seduce her gently. Pretty soon they’re having fairly nice threesome sex. The characters here were definitely in insta-love and their chemistry wasn’t particularly strong. I did sort of feel like their sex scenes needed some extra emotional punch, but they were definitely sexy. Too bad the whole deal with Marsten got pushed to the epilogue.
Pirate’s Booty - Ashley Ladd - 2 / 5 - A futuristic story in which Princess Melena is abducted by two space pirates, Keir and Zarod. The two men are already matched up and madly in love with each other, when Melena, who is stuck with them, decides she’d like to have a go at at least one of them. She starts a little love triangle, where Keir is actually unfaithful to Zarod and that’s where this story lost me. If I’m to believe that Keir and Zarod are a committed and loving couple, I can’t read about Keir kissing Melena and hurting Zarod with it. And then when she finds out that Keir and Zarod are a couple, Melena actually gets hurt that Zarod isn’t jealous that HE didn’t get to kiss her. I also had a bit of an issue with believability when Zarod admits that he’d never had sex with a woman, let alone been attracted to one, and he pretty much hits all of Melena’s sweet spots when he does finally have sex with her.

Multi author themed anthology. Same scenario [male lovers find a female to join them:] different settings - one futuristic, one contemporary, one fantasy. I found it a bit flat - lots of sex but little sexual tension. But that may just be me...

A sexy, quick read. The relationships were a little shallow and predictable, but understandable given the short story format.
