Madame Moustache lost the love of her life, and her fortune, in a silver camp in Nevada. A storyteller wrote about the West to feed her children. I recommend this book because it explains what life was like for the women that lived through the California Gold Rush. You'll read about 12 womens' lives during an exciting time in hi'story.

Very good read, some stories seem incomplete or glossed over but definitely worth reading

This was interesting stories of different ladies that came across the US to the California Gold Rush. Why they came, what they had hoped to accomplish, and all they went thru to get here. Stay here and start a life. I found it interesting, and I enjoyed it.
