4.5 - "I hate dogs..." Stars!
The first book in the Miami Scorcher series, sets things off really well in that it the story was pretty scorching between Nick and Carly and it was a really great opener to the Lazos Pack dynamic in general.
I think Nick Lazos may be my most favorite hero that Katie has written so far, there was just something about him, he was sweet, sinful and growly-alpha in equal measure, and although this book is all about the ‘insta’ connection it worked, because of the whole ‘shifters-mate-for-life’ thing.
He knew she was his mate… He could hear and feel she was.
Only problem being is that Carly is human, and not a huge fan of man’s best friend, so falling for a werewolf… even though she doesn’t know that he is initially, poses a whole host of problems for Nick.
She was falling for him so fast and it was a little terrifying…
Bearing in mind I read books two through to four in this series before this one, it’s safe to say that they can be read out of order and as standalones', and as usual the author delivered a quick sexy and well-rounded read.

Oooh, boy. If you want a hunk of burning love werewolf to rock your world, check Nick's garage. Because... HOLY SMOKES! This guy knows how to give it to a lady several times over.
Very, very fun little romp with a pack of wolves who know all the dirty details of Nick's life (when you can smell the lust rolling off a guy, it's hard to hide that he's interested) and who aren't afraid to give him a hard time about it. I love that Nick goes almost non-verbal around Carly. It just so cute when a big guy gets all tongue tied.
The bad guy is bad but we spend so little time with him that he's almost a non-issue. Well, until he tries to put the hurt on Carly and Nick. This book is more about the hot, sexy times than anything. And hot, sexy times are a win in my book!

¡Uh! No me había enterado de que existía esta saga.
Esta escritora me encanta así que es un acierto “casi” siempre para mí.
Este ha sido un buen primer libro. Me ha picado la curiosidad para seguir leyendo. Los personajes me han gustado bastante aunque les falta un poco de profundidad. Imagino que esto se debe también a que es una novela corta. Aún así me gustan, sobretodo él.
Seguiré con esta saga.

2.5 stars Safe, he was celibate for a while, not sure how long but what bothered me in the beginning was his constant thoughts of the women he was with before, not any specific just multiple references, it was too much. He needed to drag his butt to her, I hated she went to him and the ending was not at all satisfying.

This is probably going to get me kicked off the ARC team but I read these books in exchange for an honest review. This is an honest review.
I love this author's work as a general rule. She always has strong characters, well-developed plots, and exciting scenes. This book missed the mark. I'm sorry but I thought there was too much pointless sex in it, the language was crass and unnecessary and it got to a point where I was rolling my eyes and grumbling, "Here we go again."
I didn't know where the story was going until Asha made an appearance and even then it wasn't all that clear. Up until that point, it was just another F-book. I found Asha to be more interesting than Carly. I found Nick's predicament to be intriguing but was bummed that he thought having lots of sex with Carly was going to make it easier for her to accept what he was. He wanted to dull her senses and numb her into being okay with it. I didn't think that was cool at all.
As I said, I really do love Savannah Stuart's work. I just didn't like this book.

Fast and read-in-one-sitting story that tells us of a human girl that falls for her new boss that also happens to be a shifter. Somewhat different from what I normally read but entertaining nonetheless.
I wouldn’t exactly call this one romance as it was more insta-lust due to a mating link and aside from the usual both of them being caring, loyal, and super hot and sexy, there aren’t more given reasons as to why they fell in love. As it is, it was more erotic romance than plain and simple romance. There are more sex scenes than there is story around the two and although we get to meet other characters and we’re introduced to his paranormal world, in the end it felt a bit inconclusive. Not exactly my cup of tea but it deserves bonus points for setting up a good arc for what has the potential of a good series. 3 ½ stars.

This was my first shifter story and it wasn't bad. I would like to read more in the series, but I don't know if I'll part with $4 to read stories that are less than 150 pages long.
Anyway, this was a good story. It moved at a good pace, probably a good "intro" to shifters. There's more sex than anything, so that worked for me, since this is not a genre that I am interested in at all. Glad that I did read it though because it was a nice change of pace. Unfortunately I kept thinking about Twilight the entire time. While there are no similarities, it's always the first thing that I think of when it comes to werewolves.
Would I recommend this book, probably. Like I said, it was pretty good, I'm just not feeling the entire genre as a whole (at least not at the moment).

The forbidden fruit...
Nick and Carly fall madly in lust after her job interview with him at his garage for an accountant position. Of course Carly happens to be Nick's human mate and she is clueless of the fact that a) he's a werewolf and b) her fated mate.
Someone else besides Nick has his eye on Carly...Immortal Asha who has plans to make Carly his new...sex slave! Once again the redhead is completely clueless as to who and what Asha really is underestimating the danger she is in by thinking he is simply a dejected suitor.
Long story short, the villain is defeated, the Lazos pack welcome Carly with open arms and the intended mates live happily ever after. On my Were Scale of Hotness, 3 stars.

Carly moves because she needs a new start after her cheating boyfriend and is hired by Nick - yes he is a HOT alpha. I love this story. She doesn't like dogs. He is a werewolf. This story is HOT! A nice, spicy quick read but I love the story. I am going to enjoy reading this series.

A very cute, sexy paranormal romance…
This is the first book in the Miami Scorcher series that can be read as a stand-alone. The length is that of a longer novella.
At the age of 170, Nick Lazos, a wolf shifter, hadn’t found his mate and no longer expected to. So what’s he to do when a sexy female walks into his office for a job interview and the sight and scent of her sets off his inner wolf? Hire her of course and try to keep his wolf under control. That she’s a human who lacks knowledge of the existence of the paranormal community and who has good reason to hate dogs he’ll have to deal with very carefully. He doesn’t want to spook her, he just wants to keep her. Unfortunately there’s a complication, he’s not the only paranormal whose set his sights on her; an enemy has noticed her presence. Now that he’s finally found his mate he’ll do everything to keep and protect her.
Needing a change of environment and wanting to be close to her grandmother, Carly Kendall, left the cold of Chicago for the warmth of Miami after her boyfriend cheated on her with her boss. She’s thrown on a job interview by the man who would be her new boss, he’s the sexiest man that she’s ever seen and she lusts for him. Not a good thing to feel for your boss yet she accepts the job when it’s offered. She didn’t want to think he noticed because, HELLO, new boss, new job but wow . Nick is very much an ALPHA male and as soon as he saw Carly he was entranced. And within a matter of days, if not a week , the couple were dating. Problem is Nick has a secret—he is a werewolf – in fact his whole family are werewolves. He is afraid to tell Carly because she made mention of a terror from her past and he is terrified he will lose her when he finally does get ready to tell her. Nick knows this lady is his mate. He loves her and cannot fathom her not being in his life.
There is another problem in their future. There is a threat to Carly. She is being stalked by a Immortal named Asha who wants to take Carly and use her then possibly kill her . He is obsessed with her because of who she reminds him of. Nick is terrified that he will lose her ; and he has yet to mark her because of the thing in her past that ties into his being a werewolf. She still doesn’t know. Poor guy, he is head over heels in love for Carly. Carly is head over heels in love with Nick and doesn’t know what is going on with him but she just wants him to come “clean” with whatever is going on so they can be happy or she knows what the score is . It’s a roller coaster ride and the twists and turns at the end really give this a satisfying conclusion to this fantastic story. I hope to read more about this family of shifters .

Review for Unleashed Temptation by Savannah Stuart This is another book on my Kindle that I have no idea where it came from.
Carley need to get away from Chicago. In part because he boyfriend has been sleeping with her boss and in part because she just needs to move on with her life and why not sunny Florida with her grandmother. Very cute short story. You will need to suspend reality a bit - for example i kept wondering if they actually liked one another and why? Then we had a villain who felt way more like an after thought...honestly the villain was unnecessary. The common thread between the couple is sex so if you fo not like graphic stuff then maybe this book is not for you.

Awesome short read! Carly has had it with her scum sucking boyfriend. She finds out he has been cheating on her with her boss! So she packs up her stuff and leaves Chicago. And she moves to Miami, Florida where her Grandmother lives.
After being in Miami a couple of weeks she goes on a job interview at a auto shop that her grandmother has set up. The hunk who interview her is smokin hot. She lands the job. And it doesn't even take a couple of hours of working with Nick and she has the hots for him.
Nick cannot seem to get Carly's scent out of his head. She is what he thinks about since he hired her. He is sure that she is his mate. Nick is a werewolf. But Carly is not. He does not want to scare her off.
And when his cousin invites her to a family function and there is a man there that is interested in Carly too, he must make sure that he knows that Carly is his. The story gets interesting when the man turns out to be an immortal.

I completely loved this book!
Carly leaves cold Chicago for sunny Miami and a fresh start after catching her boyfriend cheating on her with her boss. She lands the first job she interviews for and winds up working for super hot boss, Nick. They are both instantly attracted to each other, but Carly doesn’t know that Nick is a werewolf and the local Alpha.
Nick and Carly’s chemistry is scorching hot. Nick wants her so badly but doesn’t want to scare her by telling her he’s not human, plus he’s her boss and how would THAT look? But, as gallant as his intentions may be, Carly’s scent (confirming she’s his mate) is making him insane. Nick is adorable in his pursuit of Carly. Claiming and keeping Carly however, may not be easy when an Immortal takes an interest and Nick must protect her. Can he keep his werewolf side hidden and still keep Carly safe?
This is a very fun, sexy read. Highly recommended!

Unleashed Temptation was a great read with steamy sex scenes. Carly needs a change of scenery after finding out her boyfriend Dan was cheating on her. With no family in Chicago she decides to move to Miami near her grandmother but the last thing she expects is for her boss Nick to be tall, dark and sinfully sexy. The chemistry between the characters is undeniable and now that Nick has found his mate he isn’t willing to let her go. However, Asha has his eyes on Carly and isn’t giving her up without a fight. This is a great start to a series and I’m patiently awaiting the next story. The only thing I disliked is that for an immortal Asha was killed easily, but with the shifters in this story and how things ended I’m sure there will be a lot more bonding, fighting and revenge. I look forward to reading more about Nick, Stephan, Thomas and the rest of the Lazos pack. This short story is a great read for paranormal lovers looking for a quick fix.

Why did I read this? And am I glad I did?
This is yet another book I came across via Kelly. I almost put it down during the first chapter when Carly cringed twice in the same paragraph. However, I ended up enjoying the story. I have a hard time putting down books I’m really into and an even harder time getting back into the story a couple days later. So I’ve been reading more novellas at night and saving the full novels for weekends. This was steamy, a touch funny, a little cheesy, and overall an interesting start to a series. The fact that my guy is a car guy probably made this book a little hotter for me. Gotta love when it’s considered bad luck for your mate not to climax :)

A quick enjoyable romp.
Unleased Temptation was the first story I've read by Savannah Stuart and it was great. I will definitely be getting more books by SS in the future.
Carly recently found out her boyfriend has been sleeping with her boss and we're introduced to her as she and her best friend Sarah are packing up Carly's place. Carly wants a change of scenery from Chicago and her now ex-boyfriend and is heading to Florida where her grandmother lives.
Nick is the owner of a mechanic shop in Florida, single, and also a werewolf. Carly comes in for a job interview and Nick is instantly interested in her.
The sex is hot, the romance is good, and there is a brief sub-plot with another paranormal creature that has his sights on Carly.
This was a great short story and I look forward to reading more of this series and Stuart's other books.

Great Book!
This is a great book; this is the first book in the Miami Scorcher series by Savannah Stuart. When Carly finds her boyfriend cheating on her with her boss, she quits her job and moves to Miami, Florida. When she arrives in Miami she falls in lust with the sexiest man she has ever seen, then she finds out that he is her new boss. Nick is an alpha werewolf shifter and has given up on ever finding a mate that is until he sees Carly. He wants to tell Carl who she is and what he is, but when he finds out that an enemy of his comes after Carly he is willing to do anything to protect her. If you are looking for a great paranormal romance then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Unleashed Temptation is a short book and the first in the Miami Scorcher series.
I liked Nick’s character, although I felt he was a little OTT occasionally. He really liked Carly and wanted to make sure she cared about him before revealing his true identity. Very few shifters find their true mates, and Nick didn’t want to take the chance that he could lose her.
Carly was annoying. She wanted Nick and had no problem sleeping with him; however she would start thinking they were moving too fast and then throw mixed signals. Then the next minute she would pounce on him again. No wonder Nick was a little nervous and hesitant about telling Carly his secret.
There was a happy for now ending, and we are introduced to Nick’s brothers Stephan and Thomas who also have books in this series.

Carly has had enough, the cold weather and a cheating ex-boyfriend has her moving to Miami wanting a fresh start. When she gets an interview for office manager at an autobody shop, things are looking up and that her potential boss is stunning to look at doesn't hurt either.
Alpha Werewolf Nick doesn't know if he has made his biggest mistake or not when he hires Carly, her scent alone is enough to drive him mad. He wants her, dreams about her, and slowly realizes she is his mate. Now he just has to figure out how to tell her, and there is a little problem of an ancient immortal deciding he too wants Carly.
Had a slightly different twist to the shifter stories which elevated the story. The chemistry between Carly and Nick is electrifying. Great read.
