This is a really excellent book but I'm giving it three stars pretty unfairly because I just think it could have been so much better. First, all of the proofs should have been moved to appendices. It purely hindered reading to be forced to go through them. Second, it is pretty dated so the comparisons that it does are just not against the techniques and terms we use today, making it quite a bit of work to pull the relevant bits out. Third, pseudocode was heavily underused until the last two chapters.

Still quite an interesting and novel book for its time. I would love to see something like this today. Especially given how compact it was in comparison to, for example, DDIA.

One of the best technical books I have read so far.
