I only Read Polar Opposites by Melanie Greene

As the title of this little story says, Polar Opposites, and these two were just that, polar opposites from the beginning to the end. Although it was an extremely short story, I hope to move on to a book entirely about them because with Owen's personality, I feel that these two could have a much more developed story. Owen is the brother of Aubra's best friend but they had never interacted much until they got together to throw a welcome party for Jane (Owen's sister and Aubra's BFF). Then they realized (well, he) that they had some feelings. Now, everything is happening quickly, just like a Hallmark movie. As I said, this story is short but spicy, yes, even if you don't believe it. It's spicy with a good plot, for stops hanging out, was more than good.

Como el titulo de esta pequeña historia lo dice, Polar Opposites, y estos dos fueron eso, polos opuestos desde el principio hasta el final. Si bien fue una historia sumamente corta, que espero de paso a un libro completamente de ellos porque con la personalidad de Owen siento que estos dos pueden tener una historia mucho mas desarrollada. Owen es el hermano de la mejor amiga de Aubra pero nunca habían interactuado tanto, hasta que se unen para hacerle una fiesta de bienvenida a Jane (hermana de Owen y BF de Aubra), en eso se dan cuenta (bueno, el) que tienen algunos sentimientos, ahora todo pasa rápido tal cual película de hallmark, porque como dije esta historia es corta pero spicy, si, aunque no lo crean spicy con un buen plot que para pasar el rato estaba mas que bien 🫶🏻

This was a pretty perfect short story! It was sweet, but also passionate! My only complaint was that her brother was extremely mad and then seemed to calm down too quickly, but other than that perfect!

I recently dove into the collection of short stories, "Breaking the BFF Pact: A Best Friends Brother Collection," featuring works by various authors such as Serafina Jax, Sofia Aves, Harper Michaels, Keighley Bradford, and Melanie Greene.

While each story held its own charm, I couldn't help but feel that they concluded rather abruptly. It seemed as if every story served as a prelude to a more extensive novel. The anticipation and tension between the main characters were lacking, despite moments of heat scattered throughout. As a fan of Best Friend Brother's trope, I initially looked forward to the anthology, but it left me wanting more depth and intensity.

This is book nineteen of the Romance Café Collection and contains an assortment of short stories by a wide variety of authors (24). All question whether you should break the best friend’s sibling rule in the pursuit of romance, to get yourself the HEA ending you desire. The stories have all been offered by the authors with all profits going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. That means you can have something light and romantic to read, whilst also doing good for charity if you buy the boxset. A touch of sweet romance mixed up with some more spicy reads, of varying lengths from ones you can read during a short break or sit for a bit longer, stretch out and enjoy! There are twenty three different short stories and each has a battle to be won with a BFF’s sister or brother, as a former crush or love finally gets its chance to fly and with that happiness, each story ends. From trying to stay away as warned by the BF, to finding the one you love in danger and needing to rescue them, nothing wil stop them coming together and family and BFF’s will just have to like it or lump it and get with the programme! A lovely selection of reads that take no time at all, but give you just enough to want to see them get together against all odds. Plenty stories to read, so you can get your romance fix in. Breaking the BFF Pact by various authors contains a compilation of more than 20 short stories…all from different authors and ALL of them are new author to me! Most are 4-6 chapters…some shorter, some longer. There’s bound to be a new author here that you will want to follow…if you don’t already!!! Hours of entertaining stories….all about those forbidden Best Friend romances!!

My favorites were: Worth the Risk by Serafina Jax. This follows Lincoln and Harlow. She has to leave because of her feelings for him. But, she gets caught in a vicious storm and is in danger! Lincoln comes to help.

Chef’s Kiss by Katina J. Rose which is the story of Ambrose and Devon. She’s back in town after losing the head chef job. She shows up at her brother’s house…not realizing he has a housemate…Ambrose, a detective. Things get wild after that!

Nice anthology with LOTS of authors and stories!!

When Faith’s best friend dares her to kiss a handsome stranger in her small town bar, she should have said no. Her surprise turns to horror when she realizes the man isn’t a stranger. He’s her brother’s (former) best friend. Who she kissed senseless in a bar last night. And who is working for her family for the next month. And who her brother hasn’t spoken to since a falling out graduation night seven years ago. All she can think about is repeating the searing hot kiss—this time without an audience.
Loved this sweet romance. It has low drama, issues resolved as adults and I read it in a short time. This is a great short story. All the problems for Faith and Mitchell were taken care of easily since they were no longer teenagers. And I should stop here because I will be giving away the plot!.

Many wonderful novels

Many authors have put together these wonderful collection of short novels in the tropes of Best friends sibling / Brother’s best friend.

Daring Summer Kisses:
Never kiss a stranger in a bar, you might know him well. Faith and Mitchell are getting their second chance after everything went wrong seven years ago.

Polar Opposites:
Owen and Aubra have to throw a welcome party for her bestie who is his sister and realize that they have more in common than just Jane.

Worth the risk:
Harlow wants to leave because of her feelings for Lincoln, but gets caught by a storm and of all things Lincoln is saving her.

Part of the beloved Ida series, this story is a quick read. It is included in the Breaking the BFF Pact anthology.

Friends to lovers is my favorite trope and no one does it better than Bethany, who is the queen of this trope.

Hudson's sister Steph is getting re-married. She and Mike were married in Vegas in Running Back to You. Also at the wedding is Hennessey, who is the childhood friend of the siblings. Hudson has been in love with Hennessey for years, but doesn't feel he's worthy of her due to the mess that is his family.

Single mom Hennessey has been friends with Hudson her whole life, but after her marriage ended, she has been feeling a bit insecure.

Will either of them be brave enough to take a chance on love?

Stealing Your Perfect Heart - by Bethany Monaco Smith
I love, love friends to lovers romance and this one had a grip on my heart. Ms. Monaco Smth added just a little more love when she gave us childhood friends. We see Hudson finally admitting to the one person that he has strong feelings for years, Hennessey. She has had a rough time of things and just wants to find happiness again but as a single mother, she has two children that take up a lot of her time and heart. Could she have space for the man that she has had a crush on since she was very young? A wedding and true feelings see the two of them igniting the sparks that are flying between them.
This novella checks off all the boxes of a sweet, moving and outstanding romance that is well worth the read.

A review of Daring Summer Kisses.

This was such a cute story.

Faith shared a steamy kiss with a stranger in a bar, only to realise he is not a stranger and she has had a crush on him for years. Her brothers best friend, until he wasn't.

Little did she realise that she was the reason for their gall out and that Mitchell had the same crush on her.

They finally come together, and make their feelings known.

My only request would be for it to be slightly longer, with a little snippet of a view I to their relationship over the summer. But overall a nice quick read.

Daring summer Kisses

Mitchell has been in love with his best friend’s sister since they were young. His friend, Finn, did not like the idea of Mitchell dating his sister, Faith. When Mitchell asked Finn if he could date Faith, they had a huge fight that ended their friendship.
Years later when Faith and Mitchell meet up again, Faith doesn’t even recognize him. Even though she has had a crush on him since they were younger too. Circumstances find Faith and Mitchell working together for the summer.
This quick read was enjoyable. The author does a great job with instalove characters.

Faith is having some drinks in a bar with a friend who dares her to kiss a man in the bar. As she never back down from a challenge, she just stands up and kisses him.
Mitchell can’t believe the fact that the woman kissing him in a bar is Faith, his crush when he was eighteen.
A very short story that is well-written. Very entertaining, quick to read and lovely.

Daring Summer Kisses:

Cute! And steamy while still being relatively clean! I loved this! I forgot about Chateau Felicity but was reminded of it at the end of the book. Really liked the way Mitchell and Faith reconnected in the beginning of the book. I knew I was going to like it when I read the summary (I read the summary before downloading to review but completely forgot about it), and I was right. Loved the chemistry between these two when they kissed.

Oh I loved Daring Summer Kisses by HeatherScarlett. It was sweet and steamy. It begins as a dare by Faith's best friend to kiss a handsome stranger. Only Faith recognize Mitchell after so many years apart. He left after he got into an argument with her brother. Will this be their second chance? If you like brother's best friend romance you will surely enjoy Mitchell and Faith's story.

What a collection of stories and going to a great cause. Each are well written and fast paced reading. Full of love, romance, heat, steam, intrigue, twists and turns. Each character has so much going for them. Each leaves you with a good feeling. This story by an exceptional author, Sofia, is about Jessie and Bailey (Bay). Jessie is rooming with Bay and Kelly. Bay goes out on a date and finds out that it's a cop , who wants info on Jessie and others. Jessie stops the interview and take Bay to a place that is safe for him to spank her. He finds her interest on her computer on night. What a spanking he gives her, super hot. Wish it was a longer story and all the rest. What a wonderful cause for writing all these stories.

This us a nice collection of short stories that break the best friend pact. In Ridhing Shotgun Vivianne and Rox are best froends who haven't seen each other in years. Vivienne and her club go to see Rox and her club when Vivianne spies a handsome stranger tjat she wants to get with. Turns out to be Rox's brother who is off limits. Will she break the BFF pact?.

This is a very quick short read. These two knew each other when they were teenagers and each had a crush on the other, but Faiths brother interfered. They found each other again and reconnected. it has a bit of drama due to brother.

This is a short, fast paced story with Faith and Mitchell getting a second chance at their high school crushes, which her brother interfered in. It's well written but has an abrupt ending. I did enjoy reading their story.

Short stories with all best friend’s brother trope: couldn’t be better.
This collection is filled with 25 of these stories, and almost all of these authors were new to me. But what better way to discover a new author? I have already filled up my TBR with other stories from these authors.
Definitely check this collection out, you will find yourself getting lost in the pages.

This is a fantastic collection of short stories all based on some variation of the BFF trope. The is a little something in here for everyone. Several of these authors were new to me and This was a great way to sample their writing. Some of these really pack a lot of heat into so few pages. I really enjoyed this whole book

This was a pretty good collection. There is a large number of stories that are all relatively short but still have enough variety to fit most any mood. Two of the books are mm so there is a small sliver of diversity. There is definitely a diversity in tone. It was worth the time and I only skipped a couple (they seemed more like intro or prologue stories than standalones).
