Nice addition to the Sons of Lyra series. I really enjoyed Remi and Emmanuelle's story. It developed nicely over a longer period of time than the first two, several months in fact, and it brought more depth to their relationship than the others. Granted the others were just as pleasant to read as this one, this one just got me. I really liked reading about the struggles and lengths that Remi and Emmanuelle are willing to go to in order to be with one another. I can't wait to read what happens when Acer finally caves in the next book.

Remi just wants to be a soldier like everyone else; not because he is royalty, not because of his wealth, and especially not because of a previous injury he is still dealing with. He also wants the station's nurse.
Emmanuelle has denied all of Lieutenant Lyra IV's hints and stops by her office. She can't get involved with someone of his position without losing her job.
Will the passion become to much to ignore for them? Will they risk everything to have a chance, or will a return mission to Varka Two where Remi almost lost his life tear them apart?
A cute novella, I really wanted these two to get a HEA. This book also contained a little side story for two other characters. I love the interaction between him and his brother, and how they are there for each other.
