Four dangerous adventures concerning the quaint hamlet of Innsmouth, Massachusetts, in whose harbor the fish always seem to bite unusually well. Tone and atmosphere are more significant here than quick shocks and visible gore. Useful as stand-alone adventures, or for insertion into campaigns as changes of pace. These four adventures are all set in Innsmouth prior to the government raid of 1928. Keepers may also be interested in Escape From Innsmouth, a background book describing Innsmouth, and the raid itself.
Generally solid book of adventures, some better than others; the first and last are the weakest. The first has a lot of handouts for an adventure in which not much happens and the investigators are not particularly compelled to have to intervene, and is awkwardly and stiffly written. The last is still well-written but leans a bit heavily on women all being terrible and uses indigenous people as a prop. The middle three are all solid and delightfully spooky and I'm definitely considering running some of them (after updating to 7e, which is easy enough).
Keepers might want to consider retranscribing some of the handouts instead of photocopying, as several of them use fonts that are extremely hard to read.
Brillante colección de 4 aventuras, relacionadas con la ciudad de Innsmouth y los monstruos que allí viven. Lo que más me ha gustado es que tienen tanto de novela negra como de relato de los Mitos. Son muy diferentes de lo habitual.
