I've been spending most of my time outdoors the last few days. I sit in the sun and read my book until it feels like I've spent a little too much time with the sun beating down on me and my skin can't take much more, so I move onto the porch in a nice shaded area. But there is a nice breeze blowing and I get a little cool, so I move back into the sun. Now I'm getting hot and feeling a little dizzy from it (which happens when I get hot), so I move back onto the porch. There is still that wind to deal with though, so back into the sun, I should weed the garden anyway. Ok, enough of that, onto the porch. Too chilly, back in the sun, horrible migraine. That's it, I'm sick of summer, I'm going inside to read a Christmas book. One filled with decorating ideas, cookies, gifts to make, I picked this one.

This year's Christmas recipes for our book club was a collection of Gooseberry Patch books. We had a lot of different volumes. Some were good, and some were okay. The winning recipe was the Michelle's Caramel Corn.
