I picked up this book before we knew if we were gona get a boy or a girl. I am glad I did cause my son loves it. I had looked at it many times but today was the first day he let me read it. It is adorible, and I am glad he can see that prertty girls can look very difrent.

Unearthed this from a box of classroom books I had stored away. I bought this for the gorgeous illustrations and they are seriously amazing. However, they’re just fairytales and they all are poorly written and all about women waiting for men/fathers deciding on their marriages. Nah. I wanted information on duties and castles and other aspects of royal life in other countries. But, 5/5 for the illustrations. The Native American princess is my favorite.

I was slightly disappointed with the book "Princesses of the World", a compiling of princesses stories that offered nothing new or exciting. Each princess is waiting for a prince to marry. I would have like to have seen some more dept and complexity in the characters. However I do like that the book represented women of the world. Actually I would have rated the book a two but the illustrations are spectacular and inviting.

I'm sorry but this kind of content should not be directed at young girls anymore. Beautiful princesses and handsome princes and their love stories are toxic stereotypes that millenials have had enough from. Newer generations should not be fed this nonsense.

There is very little about this book that is original and interesting.

Beautiful, truly stunning illustrations, very diverse / these are fairy tales so maybe there is no point in commenting that all female characters are dependent on men and their decisions, it’s all about a female being pretty and waiting to be married off, but it’s beautiful, and I’m most definitely not the target audience so maybe little girls would love this, I don’t want to be too harsh / ⭐️⭐️⭐️

buku terjemahan... ceritanya agak aneh2 dan terlalu singkat (tp fokus utama memang pada gambar sih)

nooow this kinds of books make little girls wanna grow up to be princesses and find their princes :\ but the illustrations are awesome. I especially love the illustrations of the inca princess and the american princess.
