This Bathroom Reader was perfect for me as a kid. Even though a lot of it was gross-out and I was a little girl, I still loved it because even little girls can like gross stuff. My least favorite was the first volume, Wild and Woolly, because animals are a little less gross-out than weird sea creatures or scary ghosts. Even the article about the drunk monkey, which I still liked reading about but wondered if it was appropriate for kids.
The second volume was called Under the Slimy Sea, and it was about everything in the sea. It seemed half of it was about terrible things happening off the Gulf Coast of Florida, where I live right now. I remember the shark attacks and all of the weird stuff at the bottom of the ocean, like the blobfish. This book is why I like all of the fish that look like aliens on the ocean floor.
The third book in this omnibus, Strange and Scary, was my favorite one. It was absolutely the most gross-out one, with articles about things like disgusting toys and a person that collected their own bellybutton lint. There was also some pretty creepy stuff, like a cemetery sculpture that moves on its own and evil British ghosts. I liked reading about all that weird stuff as a kid. And honestly, this book is still great as an adult.
This book is called a bathroom reader, never really understood why, but entertaining nonetheless. This was an amazing collection of strange stories. This talks about weird thugs found on beaches, to pets reviving their owners. I've read a few of the Uncle John's books and was very entertained. Lots of these stories made me want to read it again this summer. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a non fiction book to read. Also, I would recommend this to anyone who has lots of spare time to read.
This book is about random facts that are about animals and weird people. I picked this book up because I enjoyed Uncle John's Facts to Annoy your Teacher. I finished this book because it contained interesting facts I would recommend this book to Eric because it has facts about geography.
Great little fact book for kids. And of course it has the word bathroom and a few "gross" facts in it but that just makes reading more interesting for kids. I enjoyed learning a few facts I'd never heard of before too.
the book I'm reading is called creature feature,This book is about facts of animals and amazing creatures. Some of the facts are strange but true. I would recommend this book to people who likes to read and learn about animals.
