Okay. This is my first Christine Rimmer book.. and I did not enjoy it much.. Uh.. don't know... it was OK book..
Michael or Mitch as we get to know him later... he is total jerk, stubborn, mean boy when he was young... that doesn't change much when he grows up.... He is still mean, cruel and bossy with Kelly.. but he dotes his daughter DeDe...
Kelly Bravo.. well , she was one hell of a character... She was too trusting and too good and too sweet... But.. I also loved her... she was strong and independent and very forgiving too as I said.. tooo sweet person... Good human being... :)
Dede was the best character in the book.... Very understanding 9 year old ..... I mean.. one will rarely see this kind of 9 year olds now.... Today's kids are way too smart for their own good... :D
Tanner, Kelly's brother was the typical over-protective big brother, that girls like me would kill for... I don't have any siblings but I always yearn for elder brother who will protect me and shout and tease me... and pamper me... Tanner was everything I want in my elder brother... :D
Crystal was unique.... her character was very sweet and different... loved her too...
Okay, that sums up all the major characters in the book.... Actually, story wasn't that bad either... I would recommend this to all contemporary romance readers... :)
In the last book we met Kelly Bravo, single mom, who has been trying to find her high school boyfriend and her daughter's father for years and then she is shocked to see him the newspaper, an author, a billionaire with the name Mitch Valentine, so she goes to his meeting and he remembers her and wants to meet her, she goes and at the end of the dinner tells him about his daughter.
I didn't like the hero much, he acted as a jerk, he was the one who gave a young Kelly an ultimatum, choose him or her brother and then he disappeared when she tried to find him. So, he moves in to her house, has no problem sleeping with her but when she wants more, says no, in my book that is a jerk.
It took Kelly's brother to make him see the truth about his bitterness, though I did like how she didn't fall into his arms when he came back.
Love the writing of Christine Rimmer. This is another wonderful story of long ago love, coming together again Kelly and Michael/Mitch were long ago loves that had a child together. He did not know, somehow disappearing from Kelly's life. The story was fast paced and easy to follow.
