Druuf, Untergang von Atlantis, Swoon - nettes Setup.
Leider merkt man hier - positiv wie negativ - die schon fast exzessiven Streichungen.
Es werden ganze Hefte und Passagen gestrichen, die das Leben der Menschen im Solaren Imperium beschreiben und den Hauptcharakteren etwas mehr Tiefe (Soweit das in den 1960ern überhaupt mal geschah) verliehen.
Positiv: Der Einstieg in Mahrs Siedlerabenteuer - Faschistisch wie kein anderes Heft der Serie - wurde ebenso gekürzt. (Zu Mahrs Ehrenrettung sei unterstellt, dass er sich hier einfach keine tiefergehenden Gedanken gemacht hat und einfach drauf los fabuliert hat),
Leider haben die Straffungen hier nicht zu einer geschlosseneren Handlung geführt UND das Spiel mit den verschiedenen Zeitebenen war ohnehin so in der Form nicht nur verwirrend für Leser wie Autoren, es hat auch immer wieder Logikbrüche. Und das, obwohl Voltz schon die gröbsten Klopfer wegeditiert/berichtigt hat.
Zwar noch halbwegs lesbar und einigermaßen Unterhaltsam, für 3 Sterne (Und damit dem, was ich von einem Buch erwarte), reicht es einfach nicht. Wobei 2 Sterne zumindest noch heisst: Das Geld für das Buch ist es gerade noch Wert - also auch kein kompletter Reinfall

Festung Atlantis behandelt im grossen und ganzen den Kampf gegen den scheinbar Unsichtbaren Gegner.
Durchaus eine spannende Episode innerhalb der frühen Perry Rhodan mit viel Science-Fiction Zauber inklusive Paradoxe Zeitebenen.
Nen bischen nervig so dazwischen gehauen fand ich das Abenteuer mit den Swoofon.
Zudem ist der Silberband nicht so stark Roman, als eher heftsammlung und die Titel gebende Geschichte ist hier ein zwischenbericht.

Spannend wie jedes Perry Rhodan Buch

This might've been the most interesting and thrilling Perry Rhodan book so far (except maybe for the first one). I like sci-fi stories involving changes to time like this one. And for the first time, Rhodan's adversary wasn't just some guy or species or robot from some other planet, but somone from a universe where physics worked quite differently. This made the book quite an interesting read.
I must criticize the physics in the story, though. Many things contradict each other and don't really make sense. Most of all: when the Druuf tried to put the humans on screen, which were moving 72,000 times faster than themselves, they simply filmed them with a lot of cameras and copied the filmed scenes from cam to cam, slowing it down further until they became visible. First: why do you need more than one camera for that? Second: why can't one slow the film down with just one (or two) camera(s)? Third: The human beings on the Druuf planet need perhaps some hours to find the Druuf ship, wonder about it and destroy their cameras. Let's say this takes between 1 and 5 hours, not more; the Druuf need to slow down these scenes (which for them takes less than a jiffy), watch them and react to them. If these Druuf react quick enough when they try to kill everyone with their gigantic space beam, they might need 5 seconds to refocus. For the humans on the planet this would equal the time of 100 hours. They would hardly notice that the ship is moving. Somewhere they said they spent 8 days on that planet, which would mean just about 10 seconds for the Druuf, only the last one or two of which they had actually contact with the humans. So how could they slow down and watch the video, give the command to kill these humans and then to aim their beam onto the planet, unsuccessfully, and then finding the humans again somewhere else and sending their camera ship behind them, which then gets destroyed.
Nonetheless I'm looking forward to book #9!
