Mystery and the Minister's Wife #7
Into the Wilderness
A church camping trip leads to revelations that cause Kate and Paul Hanlon's daughter to question everything she thought she knew about love. Kate and Paul are delighted when their daughter Rebecca arrives for a surprise visit with her new boyfriend Marcus, but something about her handsome actor beau doesn't seem quite right. Rather than cancel his camping trip with men from the church, Paul brings Marcus along. But what starts out as a good time of bonding soon turns into disaster when Paul and Marcus end up lost in the wilderness. Meanwhile, two mysterious men from Marcus' past show up at the Hanlon residence, leaving everyone to wonder what Marcus is hiding. Kate, desperate for answers, must use all of her detective skills to bring her husband home alive. With time running out, the community is reminded that faith is their best guide.

Kate is looking forward to time to finish a glass project while her minister husband takes a men’s church group on a camping/hiking trip. While he is packing their daughter, who lives in New York and wants to be an actress shows up to surprise them. She has also brought a very handsome man as her boyfriend. He is also an actor. Paul is persuaded to take the boyfriend with him on the camping trip. Kate is worried about the acting parts her daughter is trying out for. They get a call that Paul and the boyfriend are missing and the rest of the book is about the search for them.

I’ve read all the book in order and they have all been good, but this book was by far the most compelling, very heart warming and touching. Some of the book made my cry. If you have not started reading series, Mystery and the Minister’s Wife, then you need to start! Very Spiritual, heartwarming, full of the Holy Spirit. What a wonderful, inspiring and blessed book! The Hanlons faith is tested as their daughter comes to visit. Paul is lost in the mountains while on a camping trip with men from church. The story plot covers the days he is missing and the surrounding events. A good read for a weekend.

I really enjoyed this book. I don't remember reading it before at all, as I have the other books in the series so far. A good, clean mystery.

I just didn’t care for this book as much as the others. The daughter lives in New York City and is this naive? You have trained search and rescue people and no one sees anything but Kate?

I don't enjoy books that are that scary.
There was definitely lots of faith displayed by the characters.
