My neighbor doesn't know I have a key to her house. Doesn't know I watch her sleep or that the dreams of me she has aren't merely dreams. She doesn't know she's my girl, who I've claimed in a blood ritual that will bind our souls together.
When she goes out hunting for the supernatural, she draws the attention of Antonio Garcia, alpha of the werewolves and head of a rival gang. He'll attack her to get to me, to deal a blow to my Family that will weaken us in the coming war.
But I am the reaper who everyone fears. The "cleaner" of the Family. If anyone touches my girl - if they even just look at her wrong, they'll die.
Only...Antonio is consuming something that is causing his power to grow exponentially, and there is a traitor feeding him information. Someone close to me is willing to sacrifice my girl to take control of our Family.
Can I hunt them down before they hurt what's mine? Or will they damage her before I can save her?
As an author of fantasy and paranormal romance, she just needs to know some things, like how many dead babies can fit in a bathtub (34, 52.5 if blended), what human meat tastes like (dry pork), how to get away with murder (it’s really hard to tell the difference between a drowning accident and a drowning murder, just saying), etc.
This non-serial killer lady lives with her partner, who often drags her outside, claiming ‘sunlight is necessary’ and ‘social interactions are a good thing’. Given her questionable search history, she goes along with it, thinking it’ll be better to have less ‘aloof serial killer vibes’ should the police ever knock on her door…
*ARC Review* Cursed To Be Mine is a roller coaster of emotions. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. I honestly struggled to write a review for this one...
--- Disclaimer: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. My review is based on my enjoyment & personal opinions.---
"There is chaos without order."
The first chapters were SO difficult to get through because of the female character's abuse and toxicity towards her daughter. It's been a minute since I felt so much HATE and ANGER towards a character 🤬
Chapter is the special number to get to the better part (& everything made sense afterward). I had to spoil myself because I would've DNFd this otherwise. And I considered DNFing several times.
I get what the author was trying to do, but suffering through 30% of a book to get to the better part was too long for me. However, I was so relieved about the twist!🤯 And after I let it sit for a few days, I feel like it was pretty clever.👏🏽 I’ve never seen something like this done before, and definitely didn't see it coming.
The MMC, Khalid was my favorite, and I enjoyed his chapters way more. And I loved how obsessed, devoted, and caring he was.
"She’s so fucking beautiful. So beautiful it fucking hurts."
The dynamic & powers of his family were also interesting. And I can see the potential of the magic system.
While this book is dark & has some gory scenes, I surprisingly didn’t think it was as dark as I thought it would be. BUT definitely check the trigger warnings!
I'm very particular about dub/noncon, and I didn't mind it here, so that's saying something. However, breeding kink is not my thing, and I struggled with one particular sex scene between them (that was a no-go for me):
While this is a personal preference, I hate sharing scenes in MF books. It didn't help that I also disliked why it was happening. It also didn't sit right with me because of Khalid's possessive nature.
Out of all the other brothers, Maddox is probably my favorite, and Varius is the most interesting. I like how Miranda Grant also builds up this family, and I'm interested to see more of them, especially Micha & Varius' story. I hope she will give him “Hel“! No, really. Make him suffer!

Meh. I had high expectations after quite literally being haunted by this book on soo many posts and recommendations on FB groups so maybe that’s the reason why I was hoping for it to be epic which sorry not sorry, but really wasn’t in my opinion. Too much was going on all at once and it was hard to keep up with all the different thousands characters and the strange (not in a good way) world-building, plus now that it’s been quite a while since I finished it, I can’t really remember much except it had too many gore moments and I thought the hero was unlikeable and immature. I didn’t feel the chemistry between MCs and 90% of their interactions was just them fucking and exploring pretty extreme kinks which I would usually find interesting and exciting but it felt disingenuous and after a while it got boring.
SPOILER: It had one scene towards the end where the Hero shares heroine with his 6,7 (or whatever number they were) brothers for a bond ritual. Of course it gave me an icky feeling because sharing makes my stomach churn but I knew about it beforehand so I was prepared - then again I could also say it didn’t bother me because at that point I just wanted to get it all over with. First and probably last book I'll read from this author
St. Augustine, Florida has an entire world – and war waging – that most of its citizens are clueless about. Mayor Hannah Davis has joined forces with the Warriors Against Lycans & Lessers (WALL) to hunt the supernaturals down and has decided it’s time for her daughter, Scarlett, to know the truth as well. With supes in a power struggle and a hunt gone wrong, humans are caught in the crossfire.
I’m still struggling with a review for this one. There was a lot going on with so many components. Further, while I wouldn’t say I was triggered by some of the storyline, I was definitely upset by behavior we see in the first 25% of the book. After that the reasons for it becomes obvious, but it was still very uncomfortable. While the series story arc will continue in future books, I’m not sure that I’ll continue. Other reviews have been glowing, so I’m sure it’s a “me” issue.

🛑 Be Advised: My Goodreads shelves are … explicit in both senses. As such, they could be considered spoiler-y.
My new fav author. How does this not have higher stars?! Creative POV shifts I’ve never seen before. Gore scenes that made my inner psycho scream. Lovable characters; I even liked the enemies! I cried and I laughed. This book has, hands down, THE most hilarious s3x scene I’ve ever read and I will cherish it forever.
I could already tell this was going to be a really dragged out book with no substantive plot to hold it that far. Even though I officially stopped at 10%, I skimmed ahead and knew that I was going to be disappointed no matter what, despite the "twist." I'd seen this book all over my social media, and this just fell flat of all expectations. Also, the FMC insults hospitals and sick children at said hospitals, so that was a big no for me. Don't get me wrong, the kinks and tropes sound so good and are ones that I really like, but all of it put together in this book just made it really messy. I'd also like to add that the FMC was such a toxic mother to her daughter in the worst ways possible.
If you like dark and/or paranormal romance, Cursed to be Mine is right up your alley. Author Miranda Grant does a fantastic job of balancing plot and spice (and, oh, the spice), and I can't praise that feat strongly enough. What really made me an avid fan, though, was the fact that this is probably the only story in the past three or four years where I actually "didn't see that coming". I spent the first 13 chapters trying to label what "types" of romance this story fit under, and boy, did the pivotal events at the end of that chapter completely change my predictions for where the story was going! DO NOT, under any circumstances, DNF this book until you've finished chapter 13. Trust me.
Grant introduces us to a world where witches, vampires, and werewolves are on the brink of war. Most humans are blissfully unaware of their existence, but the looming war could easily change that. Some humans, like our heroine, are aware that supernaturals exist and worry what the future holds for humans in a world where they are the bottom of the food chain.
Our main characters not only have to navigate supernatural/human relations (because what's a girl to do when the reaper of the local family of witches decides you're his...say no thanks?), but also figure out how to survive the war ahead.
This story ends on an enticing cliffhanger, as it's the start of a series. You've been warned. But read it anyway because it's worth the book hangover.

Miranda blew this book out of the atmosphere. Intense characters, plot and scenes alongside a truly unique world and love story made for a captivating read. Cursed to Be Mine drags you in and holds on tight to the very last page.
Although I will admit, the first chapters of the book had me ANGRY and I really thought I was going to end up DNFing, surprisingly. I am sooo glad that I didn't. Go into this read with the reminder to 'trust the process' and you won't be disappointed. I swear.
I am dying for book two. I just know that the continuation of this story is going to only get better. And we are all in for a real treat.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️½ “Oh god!” I moan as his right hand drops to my jeans and opens them on its own. “God has nothing to do with how I’m going to make you feel.”
This is the kind of book I am looking for when I think of a genuinely DARK paranormal romance – the kind that has a MMC who is more than morally grey but still loves the FMC completely, to the point of obsession, with a universe that contains a very involved and complicated magical system. Cursed to Be Mine gives us all of that with significant steam, fantastic plot twists, epic betrayals, and unusual alliances.
I loved the whole universe created by author Miranda Grant. The witches in this universe practice blood and sex magic, amongst other magical types. In addition to witches, there are werewolves and vampires, and all are embroiled in an eons-long conflict that has become a modern-day mafia-style war. Overseeing them are the seven archangels and the Special Crimes Unit. Otherwise, they police their own or hold to tenuous treaties.
This book burns fast, reaches scorching hot levels quickly, and contains copious amounts of sex (but not to the detriment of the plot – there is still a strong plot amidst all this smut). There are several chapters where the FMC and MMC engage in almost every act imaginable as they give in to their insatiable desires for one another. The MMC leaves no doubts that he loves every inch of the FMCs body and makes every effort to change the way she sees herself. The romance and the majority of the sex is MF, but there is some sex magic that requires partner sharing, with both MCs’ approval.
You could conceivably end here and read Cursed to Be Mine as a standalone; I know I will be reading the next book that tells the story of the MMC’s brother and his fiancée. Between the magical world and the witch family, I am hooked.
⚠️ This is a truly dark story with potentially triggering elements. If you have triggers, please go to the author’s website and read the TW/CW. If you do not have triggers, I recommend you go into the book blind for the best reading experience. ⚠️

WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN???
PLOT✏️: 5/5 SPICE🌶: 5/5
TRIGGERS⚠️: somnophilia, graphic violence, murder, child sexual assault referenced, torture, abuse of one's child when they're an adult, self harm, sexual assault (these were pulled directly from the authors website)
Khalid is going to have 'her', she just doesn't know it yet. Between being neighbors and some slight stalking, Khalid has already begun his claim on her.
She thinks he's just her hot neighbor, but soon finds out there's more to him than that, and even more going on in the world around her.
She soon finds herself smack dab in the middle of a war between vampires, witches, and werewolves, with Khalid by her side. Can they come out on top, or will other supernatural forces tear them apart?
MY THOUGHTS💭:
I almost didn't finish this book. The beginning had me FUMING. BUT- it quickly redeemed itself. (Do not give up on this book until after chapter 13, I swear your jaw will hit the floor). I have never in my life been so SHOCKED. Possibly the best plot twist I've ever read.
I ADORED the representation of plus sized women. Scarlett broke my heart, I've been in her shoes before. She learns to love herself and it was a beautiful journey ❤️.
The spice though... WOWZA🔥 had me blushing over here 🫣. The scene with the brothers?? OOF. 🥴
THE ENDING??? I need more. I need to see what happens next!
I loved this story, and I can't wait to read the next book. This had me feeling ALL the feels, and it kept me on the edge of my seat.
This book was amazing & spicy AF!! 🥵🥵 I thought I knew what was going to happen, but I was proved wrong. I hated Hannah she was full of herself straight from the beginning. But theirs a twist I did not see coming.
Khalid ... omg, his possessiveness and jeolousy was something else. I totally loved it 😍 the way he was with his girl and made her feel like she was beautiful and everything to him was so amazing. Especially after the way she grew up and feeling like she wasn't good enough. I felt sorry for Khalid and the role he has to play in his family, also knowing they all have their part to play, but nevertheless, he has the raw end of the deal as well as Varius.
The plot was written really well. I like how their was a lot of action to it and supernatural theme's, and some back story thrown in here and there. I loved the family dynamic, making me love the brothers, especially Maddox he is definitely my favourite 😍 being the family smartass. (Would love to read a story on him)
Can't wait to read the next book, I feel like Varius's story is going to be very interesting.

Let me start off by saying I was blessed with and ARC of this book. I was obsessed with the summary and boy did it deliver. I started and finished in just a few days but once I started I honestly couldn’t put it down. The plot was there and the spice was DEFINITELY there. The plot twists were fantastic and the cliffhanger at the end has me desperate for more. The one and only not so great thing about the book was the grammar/ spelling. But honestly it is one of my favorite dark romance books!
I was lucky enough to buy the signed paperback. Before I start, can I just say this book has triggers, so check them before starting, otherwise grab a seat and settle down to be blown away. This book has all the feels, you'll scream, cry, laugh and quite possibly scream again, BUT it is so worth it. I ugly cried during the 1st quarter up to chapter 13 (you'll scream with joy, I promise) Khalid is a damn hot sweetie pie and absolutely adores Scarlett and I love them both. This book has 🥵 the spicy and action you'd want from a book. If you want something that will get you hot under the collar, then pick this treasure up. It's the most addictive book I have read.
Do NOT let this author fool you! The FMC is not nearly as horrific as she seems!
If you are looking for mister strong, dark, and handsome..look no further than the MC, Khalid. He’s got some serious swoon and boy does he know how to make a girl melt, in more ways than one!
This book brings you into a world on the verge of serious combat between witches, werewolves, and vampires. Between betrayal, murder, sex, and love. The characters of this book bring you along for an amazing ride and I for one CANNOT wait to read everyone else’s stories!
This book had me in a chokehold within the first chapter. The characters and world Miranda created are intense, but amazing which include werewolves, vampires, and witches. I throughly enjoyed reading this book and getting to know the characters (there was detail, but not a huge amount of world building). There is also a good amount of smut with the plot 🥵 The plot twist was a BIG curveball and the ending left me wanting more. Be on the look out for this book to have it’s officially release date in the Fall of 2023!
Please check your triggers. I will give 0 spoilers just so you can go into this blind. This book was amazing. If you are a smutty reader like me then you’ll definitely love this book. This story will take you on quite a ride. There are Werewolves, vampires and witches sooo even better for me. All I’m gonna say is you won’t even know what hits you until the end. I was left staring at my wall wishing I could receive book 2 the second book 1 closed. I highly recommend this book.
'Cursed to Be Mine is NOT a lovely, lyrical children’s story that teaches the value of love and acceptance. It is NOT an allegorical tale of a spiritual journey meant to teach a truth about human existence. And it is NOT a mystery full of Whodunit’s and red herrings.
No.
Instead, I was dragged into a story told through alternating points of view that had me simultaneously wanting to jump through the pages to throttle the living shit out of That Bitch, while also desperately wishing I could trade places with her for a few hours.
From the start, I fought with my internal discomfort at the obsessive non-con and more than once thought to myself that perhaps our fella needed to get out more…. But I powered through and was sucked into the story a lot faster than normal. I was, in turn, uncomfortably excited, intrigued, very “YAY GIRL POWER” feminist, confused, a little turned on, disgusted, pissed off to no end, perplexed, and then RAGE. At least that’s what the ABSOLUTE ROLLERCOASTER of emotions felt like... For a minute.
Miranda Grant pulls all the plugs and offers the reader a no-holds-barred, undiluted, front row seat into the minds of her characters that is, oddly enough for a book of supernatural erotica, refreshingly honest. Readers will follow character thought processes through their actions and justifications more so than the Basic Bitch Romance novels you pick up at the grocery store. Her use of first-person point-of-view throughout offers a unique perspective that I have found many authors don’t wield nearly as well. As a result, you find yourself identifying with certain personality traits, habits, or reactions that can, will, and do make readers just a little uncomfortable in their own skin. (Forced introspection for the win…).
It’s not nice.
It’s not pretty.
And at some point, you’ll question why you bought the book with the gorgeous cover - why do you continue to read this story that tiptoes the razor’s edge of non-consensual; did you hear someone else’s voice in the vitriol; how many people do you know that are just like those wanna-be militia men; why does it bother so much to see aspects of yourself in the violence; why doesn’t it bother you?
But be honest with yourself. In the end, you’re rooting for Her. Because She is You and We and Us, and each of Us deserves to have Our own dark shadow that would burn the world for Our pleasure.
So yes, Miranda knows what we like, whether we admit it or not. Happy reading!
First of all a big thank you to Miranda for providing me with an ARC to her upcoming release.
When I saw the tropes and triggers of this book, I knew I needed this in my life. Sometimes it's like a wish list. Funny, isn't it?
This book threw all rules and feelings of normality right off the cliff in the very first chapter. Holy moly. We were off to a great start.
This is definitely one of those books where you just need to keep going and have a little faith in the author. Or well, in this case maybe a lot.
'Her' is... how do I say this nicely? A terrible, horrible person. She absolutely disgusts me.
All I can say is, trust the author. I did and it paid off. Big time. Talk about plot twists.
Our 'Him' though... I'd be on my knees before he could even blink. But let's be honest... I'd be on my knees for this whole family.
This man, this man is so obsessed with 'her'. But he's patient, he waits, he craves and indulges in his fantasies without pushing it. While he's definitely pushing and crossing boundaries, he still has her in mind all the time.
❝Nothing you ask of me is trouble.❞
This whole concept was such an amazing experience. The shadow magic really intrigued me. I hope we learn more about that in the next book(s).
The spicy scenes in this book are absolutely fantastic. Body positivity plays a big part in this and I know we're all here for that. So did the bonding scene/ritual. I mean, I still think about that. A lot. That was absolutely wicked, in the best way possible.
Miranda did a fantastic job at creating this world and making a solid foundation for future books in the same world.
I could (and want to) go on and on about this book, but honestly. You need to experience this without spoilers. All I can say is: Chapter 13. Keep that one in mind, keep your mind open and I promise you're gonna love Khal and his woman. And his whole family.
I can't wait to see what's next. I'm dying to learn more about this wicked, intriguing family and its secrets.
It's been a while since I have read a paranormal romance, and this certainly did not disappoint. I won't put any spoilers in this review, as I feel like you should go into this blind with only the blurb. I understand some people within the first few chapters may feel frustrated or want to give up reading, but please please persist. It's so important for the overall story, and it will all make sense so just keep going! Especially past chapter 13! The author Miranda has perfectly created this world, these characters (with great character development) and a story/plot line that sucks you in and makes you want to keep reading. If you aren't into smut this may not be the book for you. However, I am obsessed with this book, did not want to put it down and wish that I could be reading book 2 immediately- I'm so invested in this world. If you were unsure or not whether to read this book, take this as your sign to read ASAP! :)
This book had me on pins and needles! The plot and characters are well written. I had no problem picturing the world the author created.
At the first few sentences I was hooked but then as I continued I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to finish but then I sure am glad I got to chapter 13 because WTF was that plot twist!!! I was shocked!!! Was definitely not expecting it. I might have cried and laughed.
After the big plot twist I could not put the book down. The spicy level was 🥵🔥🔥🔥 “I’m not going to wait any longer to have what’s mine, so you are going to sit like a good little girl for me, aren’t you?”
Please if you read this book, please get to chapter 13!! I was lucky enough to have received an ARC of this book. I can’t wait for the next book!!

This is an emotional rollercoaster of a read. For a story that can bring on such strong emotions towards characters is few and far between. It was almost uncomfortable.
The beginning of the story hard to warm into. Abuse is a driving factor, and I can see why people might not feel comfortable to continue. But It really is worth it.
Be warned this is definitely not a YA type read, it is explicit, there are many trigger warnings, make sure you research before you read. It is Dark, hot and spicy! Everything I love in a story, with a paranormal trope!
Read it in one sitting, I just couldn’t put it down! It is an addictive read! Loved it
Ahhhhhhh!!! Talk about some serious curveballs! You're thrown into a world with 3 major groups (vampires, werewolves, and witches). But the craziness doesn't stop there. You're thrown curveball after curveball, each one with some action, some yummy sexiness, and some possible betrayal looming on the horizon. The question is...where is it going to come from? Who is going to be affected? How are things going to look when the dust settles? I highly, HIGHLY recommend it!! You're going to love this book--while also screaming at it. ;)
The blurb of this book drawn me into getting the ARC just so that I could read it sooner. I was mind blown by the plot and spicy scenes in this book. Like what the others had mentioned, DO NOT DNF this book before chapter 13, it just gets better. You definitely would not want to put the book down. I do not want to include spoilers here as I think everyone should go in blind. The FMC and MMC’s bond are just unbreakable. The plot twists were totally unexpected and worth the wait. Don’t wait anymore, run to get this book! Can’t wait to read the sequel.
This book reached into my soul and healed a small broken piece like only a stupendous dark romance could. The plot twists have a way of sneaking up behind you, smacking you with a two by four, and dragging you off to a beautiful but unexpected lair. Honestly, the way in which the plot twists were written is pure gold. The love between the main characters is beautiful and the heat is off the charts! This is a must read for any dark romance lover.
This book is hot and heavy under the covers, but I really liked where the story line went as well, I love how the author was able to write the main characters and really drag me in to wanting to read more, to find out what was going to happen next.
“Hurting My Girl Is An Unforgivable Sin”
I would highly recommend, if you’re in to supernatural, Mafia vibes, and smut content.

This book is a wild ride! I would say it's more of a prequel type book for a much bigger series. Lots of world building, and I have a feeling we are going to get to know all of HIS brothers as this series progresses! If you're reading and struggling in the beginning, just ouch through to chapter 13! I promise it gets good!!!
My first book by this author and I have fallen into the world!
All I will say is I want me a shadow man!!!! The twists and turns within this book had me on the edge if the seat for days!! If I didn't have my babies to look after I would have completed this book in one day!
Waste of time. This is a waste of time don't waste your time read something else. This book started really unhinged and it just got worse. It kind of mellowed out halfway and then just got back please because Tell me why she Had to have sex with his family to secure the bond ritual and yet talon was not there so she just had sex with the family for nothing it was so unnecessary.
Overall Review 3.5 ⭐ due to the confusion between the Him and Her POVs. Almost DNF'd this book for that reason alone but glad I hung in there til the end.
The MMC a powerful witch whose magic is unstable at times is obsessed with his neighbor and he refused to let anyone hurt her and live. As the Reaper of his family it was his job to issue fatal justice as needed.
The FMC and MMC path cross on one fateful night when she goes out on a supernatural hunt. It was that night the FMC's life was forever changed.
The FMC has been thrust in the middle of a raging war between supernatural beings where The FMC is the pawn necessary to destroy the MMC and his family; things aren't as they seem because secrets of betrayal are revealed that can tear the family apart and alter the course of their relationship forever.

Rating: 3.5/5, heat level: 4/5. I received an ARC for this book and this is my first time reading something written by this author. I've gone back and forth between a 3.5 and 4 star rating and I'll explain with spoilers below. This was a rollercoaster ride. If you really hated the first few Her chapters, keep going my dudes. I promise it's so worth it. Check those triggers though! There's heavy blood play, somnophilia, and breeding kink in the sex scenes. But there's also heavy mental and emotional abuse in the beginning and PTSD throughout. If any of that is giving doubt already, reach for another book. This was a very intriguing and well written book, but what I couldn't overlook brought my rating down. Spoilers below. * * * * * * * * * * So I was all set to bypass the breeding kink (not my thing but it's not triggering I can just skip that) and the eating food out of her hooha (not my thing but I'm glad magic can protect her from a UTI). But my biggest issue with the storyline is the big red flag Khalid exhibited in terms of Scarlett bearing children. Not the breeding kink, I don't yuck yum.
I'm talking about him talking away her birth control without even first asking her 1. if she wants children and 2. if he can take it off. That didn't sit right with me when I read it and it's still not feeling right. Calm your damn obsession the fuck down for a minute dude and use your words. Taking a woman's choice away IS NOT OK. PERIOD. Especially when in regards to her own body. Idgaf if he's been planning to have babies with her for years, a person who is truly in love with someone wouldn't take their choice away.
She has had a seriously terrible and abusive relationship with her mother, her only family, for 22 years. She didn't want to have children before Khalid because of all this trauma. Not once did he ask her what she wanted. When all this was semi seriously brought up, he concedes to giving her a year before they have children. Excuse the fuck out of me sir, but this isn't just your choice. It doesn't matter if he's been surrounded by "most have tons of children" mentalities his whole life. I would expect a dude who cuts off his own damn hand to TALK AND ASK before unilaterally deciding they're having kids.
Yes, I know this is fiction, bond had been started, etc. It's still not ok. She's already been essentially kidnapped and has nobody else in her life and this bond is messing with her head, so she stays. Fine, I can get behind that kind of plot, I've read darker stories than this. But why does she have to suddenly be ok with having his children when she's got so much trauma to work through? If she had had a choice from the beginning and had said she had to work shit out and Khalid had been understanding instead of giving her a deadline, I would not be this heated. But there are many women out there who don't ever want a kid and are happy. I'm so tired of reading this "he wants a kid, they're having one, period" storyline, especially in this day and age.
SHE is the one whose whole life has been flipped upside down. She's the one with trauma, the one who lost her home and family as shitty as it was. She's the one who's entered into a bond without her knowledge and without any thorough explanation about any of it. She's the one who has been thrust into this whole other world with werewolves that try to kill her and a dude who has magic who is obsessed with her and takes her to live with his whole magical family. The only thing he's sacrificed is sharing his girl because his crazy ass cut his own hand off. And then he also has the audacity to bite her birth control out and proclaim he's going to get her pregnant? After everything else he's put her through? Nope. Which pissed me off because I was really enjoying this book and so many of those spicy scenes were FIRE.
