I have only the most vague memory of possibly reading one or two of these Critters of the Night books as a young lad, but words cannot express how much joy these now bring me. Something about these awaken my inner child and they are an absolute delight to read. I plan on collecting the series although they seem to be very HTF. I can't wait to get my hands on more and read them.

Read with my son when he was in first grade.* A good beginner book that my son had a lot of fun reading with me.

*He had to keep a reading log and I just found this when going through storage tubs.

Read this as a kid so many times, the glue binding came apart. Eventually was thrown away because there were only a couple pages left. As a lover of mermaids as a child, I loved this book to pieces and still remember it.

You can ask my mom, I read this book a thousand and twelve times. I wish I still had a copy. Maybe I can still find it....
